I have been thinking of this too.

I have a "vinyl plotter/cutter" (cuts custom decals etc)

I too was thinking of cutting some stripes or dots and color coding the carts/e-liquid bottles (that way I can cross-reference!)

If you are worried about the adhesive, a dab of rubbing alcohol or naptha (zippo fluid) will remove the adhesive residue

An oil-based paint pen (Sharpie makes them, as do others) will mark any surface. Comes off with rubbing alcohol or a sharp fingernail scrape.

I use extra-fine Sharpie oil-based pens in gold and silver on my cartomizers and cartridges.

Great. If you use alcohol in your juice and it gets on it will it come off?

Not that I've found. I've had to use a rubbing-alcohol saturated pad (only on the outside of a cart!) and really rub it for it to come off at all. Incidental drops shouldn't distort it much. (I scrape it off nowadays instead, it's neater.)

Just be sure to get the oil-based paint pens, not water-based markers/"poster paint" pens.
