I recently found out that the tank I have been using for years has been discontinued... So I am on the lookout for a new one! Please be aware I am not very knowledgeable or experienced with different mods and brands. I have used an ecigarette for maybe 5 years, but am the type to find simple things and stick with them basically until they get discontinued, lol! I get very anxious when trying to find new products for me to use. There are just far too many and I have a hard time figuring things out.. especially recently due to some health issues I am having that are causing me issues with some brain function (memory and cognitive issues are my main problems).. Which just makes the enormous amount of tanks seem even more intimidating.

My setup is an Eleaf Istick 30W with an Aspire CE5 BVC Clearomizer (I will link to this tank below, for those that are unfamiliar with it!). I am debating upgrading to the Istick 40w or 80w, so if you have opinions on those, please chime in if you have used the 30w version before, and if I should upgrade or what makes these newer ones better. ;)
I love this tank for the simplicity: I can just buy coils (Around or under $10 for 5 coils) and the tanks last a very long while. It is super easy to fill and change coils. The price point was a HUGE plus since they were only a few dollars and I can be a clumsy thing!!

I live on disability, so I do not have tons of spare money to spend on a tank.. I would highly appreciate if you could keep this in mind with your suggestions! ♡ Ideally, a range between $10-$20 for a tank would be a "comfortable" range, as I always like to have a back up on hand. I have an eGo to 510 adaptor so either type is fine for me to use. I also want to keep using the pre-made coils, so I need a tank with that option. I will probably try a few suggestions to see what is my favorite one to use before settling on the best set up for me~

To help with choices, here are some things I like and dislike - I like to be able to vape.. A LOT pretty much all throughout my day (so something that doesn't get hot is needed). Big clouds aren't something I need or aim for. I vape 12mg juice currently at 3.8V /6.8W and usually stay around that range. Getting a nice inhale that doesn't burn, but gives me a good hit of the flavor is a major plus. I am not a fan of huge and bulky pieces, but beyond that I don't really care what it looks like.. the ease of use is more important than how it all looks. Pre-made coils are something I need, as I am no good at building coils. Ease of finding the coils or a replacement tank online is an absolute must - I am basically bed bound and rarely leave the house, so online shopping is my godsend!

I tried to think of all things to provide about my current mod, likes and dislikes, what I need, and anything else my dumb brain could think of to mention..

Link to the Aspire Tank for anyone unfamiliar, so they have some knowledge of what I have been using -

Thank you lovely people for any input! I apologize in advance if I don't reply to every comment - but I do read them and appreciate them. I am also of very poor health, so I may not comment back right away. I hope you all forgive me! Please do know I appreciate everything! I look forward to finding something new.

Thank you to everyone willing to help!

Hi B,
The easy upgrade is to the Aspire ET-S tank : Aspire ET-S BVC Glassomizer
It takes the same coils and should work as expected on the Istick 30.

Hope that helps.

I think Izan has your budgetst solution. If you want to try a new tank, you could look at a Zenith (doesn't have to be a pro, the original is fine.) They are built like tanks, easy to use, have lots of coil options and the coils aren't cheap but there are specials. They also have a lot of longevity.

I happen to be a fan of the 1.6 coil. But you have tons of options.

Good luck in your search!

Anna.

@DisorientLove - If you're considering buying the Aspire ET-S BVC Glassomizers that @Izan posted about and linked to...there's a coupon code to use for 17% off at My Freedom Smokes. It would lower the cost from $7.45 each to $6.18 each! The code is good until 11:55PM Monday. Just use 4JULY17 in the coupon section in your Shopping Cart or at Checkout. :)

ETA: Their price for the BVC coils is $9.09/box of 5, even with the coupon code though, which is high, IMO. They are available elsewhere for less. Just 2 examples of that are below.

Example 1:
Eight Vape has the 1.2ohm (NS) coils left In Stock, regularly priced $7.49/box. However, they're having a 10% off Coil sale, so they'd be $6.74/box. Sale is until July 7th! No code needed (according to the green banner at the top of the linked page below). Since no code is needed to get the 10% off...you may be able to find a coupon code to use that will further reduce the price per box. That price does not include S/H, but it shouldn't be much when averaged out per box.

Aspire Clearomizer BVC Replacement Coils (Pack of 5) | For the K1, K2, Tank and Spryte Pod System

They don't show the ET-S Glassomizer in the list of tanks, but the coils work in it.

Example 2:
LiteCigUSA has the 1.6ohm and 2.1ohm coils In Stock for $7.49/box. I ran several different quantities of boxes through a trial Cart, to check the S/H...and you could order up to 15 boxes at least...for $4.50 S/H by First Class Mail. So, if you got just 5 boxes + S/H...they'd come out to $8.39/box. If you got 10 boxes + S/H...they'd come out to $7.94/box. You may even be able to find a coupon code online for LiteCigUSA!

@DisorientLove iSticks are very good and, like others have said, you don't need anything higher/more complicated than the 30 or 40W versions and I second others' recommendation for a tank replacement.

I don't know if you're interested in a more drastic upgrade, but if you are, I agree with Anna that Zenith is a wonderful tank. I prefer the 4ml Zlide, but they are cousins. ;) This kit is very reasonably priced here:

Innokin Kroma R Kit with MTL Zlide Tank single 18650 80W 4ml

You get a good mod with replaceable battery (but it's bigger and heavier than any iStick) and a great tank. The bad news, you'll have to buy a charger and 18650 batteries. The good news--you'll get a much better vape and any clearomizer can offer. :D

Good luck!

The Anyvape Davide will use either the Aspire BVC coils, or the Kanger Protank coils, does not require an adapter, and can be found for under $10 these days.

Kanger SubTank mini will also take Aspire BVC (non-Nautils) coils. Very nice vape. :)

Seems to me the coils for Aspire Nautilus 2 and 2s are getting harder to find. I've been using Aspire tanks since they came out. Now I buy 'orphan tanks' that are recently discontinued and heavily discounted. Just bought a year's supply of Joytech Espilon Silks -integral 2400mAh batteries about the same as what you are using. Come with a tank and 5(!) premade coils easy to change and last at least as long as BVC atomizers. $17.99 for the box mod, topfill tank, charge cord, and the five coils. Just an example of recently discontinued gear at almost disposable prices. When the replaceable atomizers are discontinued, throw the tank away, probably leaking by then anyway. None of this crap from China is made to last no matter how much you pay for 'quality.'

The original zenith is one of the most user friendly tanks I know. Coils are pretty easy to find. I Sincerely wish I could find some nautilus mesh coils, they seem to be sold out everywhere. I am however, stocked for life when it comes to the 1.6 coil which is my next favorite option.

The ego mega 1, nautilus coils and the Zenith are the only ones I will use. I decided they would be my "Drop in tanks" and bought enough coils to last me. I have NO desire to do that with a new tank. Hell, I'm kind of sorry I tried the mesh N2S coil but like, I was reviewing it.

It's the best MTL mesh coil on the market if you ask me. I mean, I don't believe there is much competition but Aspire put magic in that coil.
