OK i had a piece of acrylic rod in my lathe making a drip tip adapter for my vision and was thinking it was going to be longer than i wanted so i started mixing around the bits on my desk and came up with this:
take an old metal ce2 and cut about a 1/4 in long piece off the end of the tube. it does not matter if you use a pipe cutter or dremel or whatever but the best way i found is put the ce2 in a cordless drill and use a cutoff wheel on the dremel. spin both up and lightly touch the cutoff wheel to where you want to cut the ce2. keep it there till it cuts through - makes a nice even straight cut long as you keep a mostly steady hand.
take your cutoff wheel and rough up the metal around the outside of the piece you just cut off. you need a rough surface for the glue to grip.
also run it around the cut edge to smooth it out and try to make sure it is not sharp - it could cut through the seal if you push too hard.
very carefully take the white plug out of the vision mouthpiece. some are in there pretty good so be careful not to tear it up.
put a little glue (i used super glue gel - use what you like) around the metal piece you just made or around the inside edge of the white seal then
put the metal ring into the white seal as far as it will go making sure its straight. i pushed the cut end inside so only the cleaner original edge shows.
LET THE GLUE DRY. some glues take as long as 24 hours so be patient and give it some dry time.
insert 510 drip tip insert in Vision and ENJOY
