In the olden days I modded the E-cigarillo into http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ton-cigarillo-witch-replaceable-atomizer.html so when I saw the joyetech eCab I couldn’t resist to purchase one by nostalgia.

I’m just waiting now for my royalties from joyetech.

It comes in a nice little box with a small manual, the cigarillo thingy on top en the accessories underneath.

Besides the little smoking stick you get:

Two lithium batteries 10440 (AAA size); we know these from the cigarillo and cigar models. One black and one gray, to distinguish the empty and full one I guess, but from experience you’ll need more of these to get you though the day if this is going to be your main smoking stick.

Two atomizers of the eGo-C in the 2.4Ω version, new model with the improved wick.

Two extra tanks (in total 3 with the one on the device); and two (why not 3) silicone anti-leakage caps; those are identical to the eGo tanks, new model with improved airflow.

One USB charger for two batteries; it has two independent channels so you can charge one or two batteries, even if they are unequally discharged. And a mains USB wall charger.

The device consists of a compartment that hold the 10440, it closed with some sort of a bayonet fixture, much handier than the screw fitting of the old cigarillo or cigar.

And a cone that fixes the atomiser on the battery (with a propriety thread) and hold the tank cartridge.

The first impression are quite positive, abundant smoke and a good hit, comparable with a good working eGo. Same use as the eGo batteries with the 5 clicks to protect and unlock the battery.

The atomizer and tank system we know already from the eGo, the improvements made to the original design resolve some of the childhood illnesses, the LR atomizer is needed on the low fixed voltage system; and the 10440 batteries we know from the cigars and cigarillos from the olden days; they last for about 2 hours, but there cheap, not bulky to carry. The battery compartment is closed so no liquid can enter.

A nice compact design in the philosophy Keep It Simple… Two tubes, one that holds a push button with a little circuit and a standard battery and another that hold a tank cartridge, they both screw together fixing the atomizer between them… what would go wrong?

There is a 510 adapter available. I’m smoking the eGo with third party clearomisers at the moment, so to my opinion a good clearomiser of the same diameter to complete the system would be nice. But I love this little thingy, you can’t make it any simpler and for me its cheer nostalgia.

So I got the ecab to use as my out-and-about device, but I find myself grabbing it quite a bit.

I ordered an Anyvape ecab clearomizer (basically a re-branded Kanger M3) and my experience has been better than the review I saw before ordering. I get great vapor and flavor from these. If anyone knows other US vendors selling these, please post. Here are the ones I've found:

mtbakervapor.com: price - ok, shipping - good, color selection - limited (no black).

dfwvapor.com: price - high, shipping - outrageous, color selection - good.

carolinavapes.com: price - good, shipping - good, color selection - clear only. Not in stock.

I'm not impressed with the 510 adapter. I got a second one from a different vendor, but both block airflow. If you loosen them up it gets wobbly.

Mind if I join you?
Just received my eCab yesterday. Not what I expected. I did read a lot of the reviews before ordering and the biggest concern was the battery life and that is not a problem for me. My disappointment is in the flavor (or, I should say, the lack of flavor). It delivers vapor and nicotine okay but almost nothing else. Makes little difference whether I use the LR or SR atty head.
Am I doing something wrong? Have read something about breaking in an atomizer.

@LDV Are the clearomisers working for you?

It all depends on the liquid used; the clearos do give stronger taste, so some flavors I prefer the tank with eGo-C atomiser, others I prefer the Clearo. I have both in 2.2Ω version. I'll go out today and buy a eGo-C LR 1.8Ω to compare; I'll expect it to be something in between. One thing, the clearos are giving me a burned taste after about 10 days (40-50 refils) and cleaning them does not to seem to help.

@Whiplash What equipment are you vaping normally, that you do not find any taste in the ecab?

So here the 1st impressions: I filled a couple of tanks and clearos with some new liquids I wanted to test and indeed with the eGo-C 2.2Ω
the fist liquid tasted like nothing, just a small chemical taste, realy awfull. Onto the eGo-C 1.8Ω, a bit better a hint of tobacco, but just a hint. Than the clearo 2.2Ω, and yes a good full taste as it should be. 2nd liquid: with the eGo-C 2.2Ω a bit disapointing, not bad but weak. The 1.8Ω eGo-C that hits the spot. And in the clearo 2.2Ω I find it to much.

Have been using the old eGo batteries and 1.5 and 2.2 ohm cartos. They work well but batteries are getting old. Decided to try the eCab for its smaller size and I liked the idea of the little tank cartridges.
The 510 adaptor works well for me but nothing else. The tanks and attys do not deliver the flavor and I am not going to try to reformulate my juice to make it work in the eCab.
I’m ready to mark this one up to Education and move on.
@jafmf95 Would you be interested in buying my eCab kit? I’m in Meridian.
