ECF Chat made easy

I've created a ECF-Vapors chat channel on irc.irchighway.net here is a link to an in browser easy - no website server lag (ECF website lag) link...

HERE --- this will open a new window and ask for a Nickname, then connect to the server and chat channel (#ECF-Vapers)

Attention ECF mods - I hope this is okay with you guys. I think this could really help the community.

Well, frankly, there are several tons of IRC programs out there (IRC being older than WWW), not to mention plug-ins for browsers, so lets try a simple link to the channel:

irc://irc.freenode.net/ECF-Vapers

If you already have an IRC program, or plug-in, that should take you to the channel immediately.

If not, this is the Wikipedia's list of IRC-Clients, and if I may, for those who like their stuff in one place, I recommend Pidgin, a multi-protocol chat client that should cover most chat needs out there, including IRC.

Works great for me. I also use mIRC with no name script which is a great client. Can we register our Nicks?

you can Register your nick on there if there is no one already registered with that name...

/nickserv register

will give instructions

i personally use an irc client because i want to stay connected outside of a browser... but any savy irc person would also know these commands to connect to this server as well as any others they want...
