Hi, does anybody know if there is a way to filter the press releases out of google news search result or if there is a better search engine that will. I hate having to scour through a gagillion ads and SBwire PR releases whenever I try to do a news search for electronic cigarettes. Google often times has the press releases identified in parenthesis but I cannot find a search setting or option that will remove them from the search.

I hate all search engines. They all suck. No matter what you search for it comes up buy (whatever) on Ebay. I once broke a bone in my foot & it literally told me I could buy a broken Tibia on Ebay. I'm very curious about filtering content on search engines myself.

I was looking for land in North Carolina (I found it!) & 95 % of the output was in every other state, including 75 % of it in Oregon & Washington state! I absolutely HATE Google, Yahoo & Bing.

End of rant, sorry.

I actually tried that with "press release" using a variety of different combinations of minuses and quotes. -press -release worked the best of those but did not catch them all as it searches from the content and not the source label. That and it would filter out a legitimate source if it had either word in the article. Typing in each source separately would be too much as there are too many PR sources. I was hoping there was an option or setting that would simply allow you to filter out such sources in a simple manner, such as it is for date filtering etc.
