Do the manual batteries come in the kit, or do I order them separately?
look at the options, if one is given for manuals, click it......most will say in the description of the items.....
madvape watermelon is quite good, use it myself.....if you have an option for pg/vg pick 50/50

Does she have to do anything manual with these, like refill them? I am reading the comments and one guy said "I was really reluctant at first to fill my own cartos but it is so simple -just drip in the juice screw on the battery and vape away". Not sure she'll go for that... she's wanting something quick and easy to use.

well then,
another option is a KR808D from vapor4life.... these have prefilled cartomizers and lots of members love em....
:)

All manual means is she pushes a small button on the PV to heat the atomizer or cartomizer. It provides warmer vapor (more like a cigarette) and better control. Plus it is sealed so no liquid can leak into it and kill the battery like with auto batteries. The eGo probably comes with manuals.

She will need to order some menthol liquid from either the site where you get the PV or another site.

Yes, bek, with that madvapes kit, you'll have to fill up the dual-coil-cartomizers. (they're the clear things in the picture with the black mouthpieces on them)

they are very very simple to fill. heck, maybe you could fill them for the wife until she gets comfortable?

If not, here's a place that sells pre-filled but theres' only 5 flavors available:

510 Pre-Filled Cartomizers [510-Carto] - $1.79 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Electronic Cigarettes and e-Liquid

^the 510 carto's will fit an ego battery. I use blank 510 cartomizers on my ego, and fill them myself.

IF she wants it to look "streamlined" so-to-speak, she'll need to get an eGo cone to fit over the 510 cartomizers. the 510 cartomizer is significantly thinner diameter than the eGo battery. So the cone fits over it, to make it "taper down" and look cleaner as opposed to having a skinny carto on a fat battery.

Gold Ego Cone

(at home, i run a 510 carto on an ego LCD battery, and the looks dont bother me. I dont use my cone much at home, but it's great for work, or if I have the ecig in my pocket. makes it so the cartomizer won't wobble/bend on the threaded connections while it's in my pocket)

I'm sure there are other places that sell pre-filled cartomizers (i know http://store.vapor4life.com/ sells them) but I never bought any of the pre-filled. I honestly think filling your own gives you access to much better flavors, but maybe once she eases into this hobby using pre-filled, she'll feel more adventurous.

Good luck :)

if she doesn't want a fat battery model...

Joye 510 manual has 180mah and is great with Boge 3 ohm cartomizers (fill yourself or Vaporkings.com has some prefileld with Chinese juice and Volcanoecigs may have some prefilled cartomizers. both Volcanocig and NoSmokeVA has a nice roomy black cig-pack look PCC. Only buy manuals!! this is not much bigger than Blu. Get a drip tip for testing new juices on the atomizer and put ones you like in cartomizers. WARNING - same threading and Blu but NEVER charge them in each other's charger - Blu is opposite electrical polarity and their chargers will fry each other.

the SmokelessImage Volt manuals are fully sealed - this is a KR808D-1 model. It also has prefileld cartomizers. But the PCC types are flat packs and not roomy. Very nice model and the most popular 2-piece. To test juices use a standard reisstance DSE901 atomizer and drip tip on a manual battery. The Vapor4Life manuals have an easier to press button but not as well sealed. I use both.

What i did when i first started was to use prefilled cartos until i found a flavor that i liked. that may take a while....but i think it will be easier for her since she smokes menthol. I have been vaping for about nine months and just now ordered the juice to refill the carts. I fear i may kick myself for not doing it sooner for the value of it... i also agree the manual is my preference as well.

Good luck.....tell your wife not to give up....it does take a patience.....i am glad i did it...

Since she wants something that she can just charge up and go, and because she already failed using a cigarette sized model, I don't see this as being the better option. And E-Power/eGo/Riva's are not "fat". They are the size of a slim cigar.
