Haven't been on this site in a while, but I saw something last night that I thought might be interesting.
My daughter has a role in our local high school's production of "Grease". I went to see it last night and noticed one of the leather jacketed "T-Birds" vaping an ecig onstage as a prop. It was a white & tan auto with a red LED... made plenty of vapor, too... enough to see from the back row, I'm sure. From where I sat it really looked the part, and, no doubt, some in the audience were probably dumbfounded, thinking is was a lighted analog.
While I'm quite sure this does not mean students are now free to roam the halls vaping away, it is interesting that they used an eCig in the play, on school grounds, and no one had a problem with it, including school administrators. I have to wonder if the director had to explain what it was, water vapor and all that, in order to get approval. Clearly someone had their head on straight, which I find unusual in the context of bureaucratic, and often reactionary, school officials.
