eCig or PV, that is the question.

Are you puffing on an electronic cigarette? Or are you puffing on a personal vaporizer?

It may have been a mistake to embrace the term electronic cigarette, instead of pushing for people to refer to them as vaporizers... The same laws, taxes and stigma will apply to vaporizers, if we keep referring to them as cigarettes. Obviously what we call them isn't the sole deciding factor, but it isn't helping.

Have we invested too much money into sites and wares that refer to the devices as eCigs to change now? I certainly hope not. We're vapers, not electronic smokers. By referring to PVs as electronic cigarettes, I think we are confusing the sheep, because they keep lumping vapers and smoker together! Can we ditch that moniker before there is no differentiation between smoking and vaping? What's your opinion?

Smoking and vaping are not the same I agree but whatever the term I don't mind, I don't see a problem with it.

I personally use the term PV, but I don't really care what term others use. e-cig seems to be more widely recognized though.

Sorry to tell you brother but the same laws and taxes already apply due to court rulings that gave the fda the ability to regulate e- cigs or pvs or whatever as a tobacco product just saying

That's something else that pisses me off, if I'm vaping 0 nic (for arguments sake) how is my PV a tobacco product?

What if we were using synthesized nicotine instead of nicotine from tobacco? How could PVs be classified as tobacco products?

Eggplant is high in nicotine, is that a tobacco product? Sorry, I like to throw that one out there...



And I totally get what you're saying, we're already over the line with how these are regulated for now...

I would just like to distance our vaping devices from smoking 'devices' as much as possible...

I think PV is a much better term to use. No matter how hard you try to explain what an ecig is to some people, they just can't get past the cigarette part. When you use PV instead, they seem to be a lot more likely to listen without all their "Cigarette" baggage tainting their opinion.

First time i vaped it was the cig look a like same color etc i called it and it was called on there sight an e-cig.
That one lasted me a week.
Since then i have move on to better i call them Pv.
