What the...
I had cartomizers boiling, now they have been placed in the oven. What has become of my kitchen!

Someone suggested drying the cartomizers out in the oven at 150 degrees. Well I can't really get the oven to go below 200 but that is a different issue. Any idea how long I should leave the cartos in the oven for?

I just swish mine around in a bowl of hot water and let them sit there for a few minutes. Then I swish them again.

Take them out and blow on the connector end and they are usually good to go the next day. Sometimes not, it takes more time.

I guess it depends on how hard I blow. LOL

Ah....when one side gets golden, rotate to the other side....when side two is same as side one...take out oven, sprinkle lightly with sugar & enjoy.

Seriously I would let them air dry for a week.

Nothing like a smart .... when you need help ;) LOL I think I read the same thread and it said 20 minutes I think..........but don't hold me to it!

dont oven...put them in zip lock with plain white rice...rice will draw out the water and dry in 24-36 hours

I think if you are going to do more than just let them sit someplace warm, I would go with the rice method.

I just blow them out and stick a small piece of paper towel in the carto as a wick and put them on top of a TV or under a desk lamp to dry. Sometimes I just blow them out and add juice. I don't see a huge difference either way.

After cleaning I warm the oven up to 250 (lowest setting). Once the oven's reached temperature I turn it off, pop the cartomizers on a cookie sheet and leave 'em in the closed oven for a couple of hours or so. Usually I'll leave them alone for 18 - 24 hours but I have taken them out after a couple of hours and used them right away. Worked fine for me.

I'm sure the rice thing works but it seems like too much hassle. My oven drying routine seems to work efficiently enough for me.

after 56 years I never knew why there was rice in the salt shaker, but then again i guess I never thought of it....learn something new every day
Having grown up in AZ I never saw rice in a salt shaker until I went to San Diego. For a long time I thought someone had screwed up and put rice in there on accident. It was 6 months before someone finally explained to me why it was there. :D
