Efest 18500 Flat Top Rated Amperage?

Does anybody know what the max rate amperage is for the Efest 18500 flat top?

Efest IMR 18500 is 1100 mAh. Cost and performance make this one of my favorite batts. Not high enough current drain for sub-ohm fans but a fine batt for VV/VW rigs. buy from a reputable US vendor.

I can't find max current discharge or C rating for the Efest 18500 V1 or V2 at Efestpower.com.

Also from Efestpower.com: Max continuous discharge for the new Efest IMR 18490 is 11000 mAh. That's 11 amps.

So is it safe to say its at least 10amps since the 18490 is at 11 amps? Also just want to confirm that no sub ohms for the 18500? is 1 ohm safe enough for a mechanical mod?

According to this site at Alibaba the Efest 18500 V2 is good for 11 amps.

That would be 8.3 amps.

Actually that is about 2.9 amps, u did the equation as if he was pumping 10 VOLTS thru a 1.2ohm coil. Dummy.

Could not find a rating either but Efest 18500 v2 1100mah nipple top, i've been vaping it at 6amps with no problems @0.7ohms

I have been using this with a .4ohm build on my Patriot Rbda EKOWOOL and Kamry K101. Knock on wood I haven't had any issues and battery doesn't even get hot. The Patriot does get hot if I hit it a lot. I believe .4 ohms is around 10 amps. Can anyone confirm?

That's what I figured. Is this safe for this battery though? It doesn't get hot. If it was being pushed hard wouldn't it get hot?

Well since the battery is rated at 10 amps, just to be safe I would say no... It will drop down to 10 amps when the battery reachs 4.0 volts, leaving you no margin of safety even at that voltage... I'd say go no lower than .5 ohms on a battery rated at 10 amps.

I wouldn't use a 10 amp battery in any mod, not enough useable power. Performance drops way off at 3.9 volts. Get a 30 or 35 amp battery, not only safer, but delivers more useable power.

Can someone confirm what the amp rating is for this? I was using this at .4ohm on my Patriot dripper dual coil and didn't have any
Issue using Kamry K101.

IMR 18490/500 1100mAh are 16 amp.

0.4 ohms would leave about a 5 amp safety margine. I try to never push any battery past 50% of it's rated maximum.

All 6 of these are running on IMR 18490's

The batteries we use can be dangerous. 1 amp released in a short time will do a LOT of damage. You are sticking this thing right next to your face.

Remember when Boeing came out with their newest jet? They had engineers up the wazoo and the cost of batteries was probably not a consideration. The planes were grounded because the lithium ion batteries they used CAUGHT FIRE.

I would not be using a sub ohm coil if I had no idea how much power it took to run it or if I did not know the battery I was using could handle the abuse.
