I got my new Ego 18650 mod about a month ago. I was so happy that I bought two more Trustfire batteries and a charger. I admit it looked cheesy in the photos, but I wanted to test how the weight of it felt as an all-day vape. I was very careful of it: no dropping, no juice leaks, etc. I do admit I was unhappy to discover that it had no vent holes.
About a week ago I noticed that the long rubber button was only working about 3 presses out of 5. Since it was so cheap, I just assumed I got what I paid for. My mistake.
vaping along with it Monday night when I thought it was getting warm. I dismissed it as being the heat from my hands. Over an hour it got hotter and hotter. I opened it carefully over the kitchen sink. No fumes or liquid in the tube, and the Trustfire battery seemed to be okay.
Maybe I'm paranoid, but I'm a little scared to put a battery back in it. Should I be suspicious of the batteries?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

hey wench,
I would contact the supplier you got it from.
i have a few E-Go's with the big batts and the smaller version and I haven't had any problems.
so were there any smells???, were the batteries hot? What about the atty part, carto, atty, were they designed to work on the connection you have.
There are so many things that could be wrong, that I would just do some more research, but the first thing i would do is contact that supplier!!!

No smells. The battery was warm, but not as hot as the mod. I was using ego mega dual coils, which I have lots of experience with.
Today I got my epower 18650 from Discount Vapers & so far, so good.
I took all 3 of the 18650 batteries to an electrical engineer I know. He wasn't about to check the mod for free, but he checked the batteries and cleared them for further use.
I still think its better to err on the side of caution!
