I might be over stepping the bounds of this post but! I really feel newish vapers need to understand that they could be buying just the attys and then going straight to a common battery mod.
Ego, Riva, aren't bad but you could do alot better for your money.
If youd just look past brand names and read, read, read. Youd see where all veterans end up. And it's not "Joye-Janty Ego".
Just speaking for myself here, with no disrespect intended, from a newbie perspective (not even a week), if I'd have tried to do a mod to get a lot more for my money, I'd have never even started. The head swims with all the terminology as to the actual stuff....atties, cartos, batts, drip, drops. Then you get into all the electronic terminology...ohms, resistance, volts. I'm not an electrician. I type for a living. Shocking as it may be to some, I do not have a voltmeter in my home. And, largely, I don't know what I want yet. Do I want something that's going to produce a lot of vapor? I don't know what a lot of vapor is in the vaping world. Do I want a good throat hit? I won't know until I've experienced it (or not). Long battery life? Sure. What am I willing to give up for a 36 hour battery life? I don't know yet.
I started with a standard eGo kit. I did not need to be a journeyman electrician to get the pieces to fit together or to make pretty clouds. Someday maybe I'll want to embark on the wide world on modifying everything, but I think it's much easier, and therefore increases the chance of success off tobacco, to have a good 'all in one' kit that is as easy to ask for as the pack of Virginia Slims at the Kum-n-Go.
