I also measured these batteries and found that they are true 3.7 volt units (or very close) when using a standard 3.0 ohm load. That was good enough proof for me so didn't bother with lower resistances.

Hey Chevelle,

I was wondering about the voltage on these, thanks. So no matter what resistance load you put on it, it still should measure 3.7 volts output from the battery under load, correct?

I believe they should try to maintain as close as possible to the setpoint voltage over the common range of resistances used. Don't know for sure what range they consider common though. I would guess that it should be in the 2.0 to 3.2 ohm range though. However as current draw increases with the really low resistances, it becomes harder for the regulator to keep it going. There is not a whole lot of headroom voltage to play with but the 900 mAh current rating of the battery will help. Overall, it should be better than the standard Joye battery with LR. The unloaded battery measured around 4.4 v or thereabouts. It was over a month ago that I measured mine so I've misplaced the napkin I wrote the numbers down on. I've heard that the Riva has similar voltage regulation so it makes me think they may use the same circuit. Haven't pulled one apart (yet) so can't say for sure.

Thanks a lot, Chevelle.
