Hi all,

I saw this new item on HC recently...probably its not very new...but i think it is somewhat an eGo version of lavatube...
Anyone has it or has used it before?
Care to share some thoughts?

I am a rather budget person when it comes to vaping and I cannot really bring myself to buy too expensive PVs like Povari or LTs.

Uh... it is the Vamo... just renamed as Bamboo as HC had a naming contest when they launched it.

I'm using it right now and i have no major problems with it so far.

Currently i'm using it mostly with with single 18350, flat top, protected 650mAh batteries because i don't like the extra 1.5 inches that i'll get if i use it with a 18650.

Also You technically CAN use trustfire protected 18650 batteries on it unlike what HC says but you will need to create some space between the bottom of the battery and the bottom cap to prevent a short/misfire. Meaning if you don't have the space available, it will either not turn on or auto-turn off. I used a o-ring that fits the screw thread area, that the cap attaches to, to create some space and the Vamo will work like a charm with protected 18650 batteries after that.

Pros:
- Variable Volt/Watt
- able to check Batt levels
- Able to check resistance
- able to switch between different battery configurations (1x 18650 / 2x 18350 / 1x 18350)
- Best PV out there for the low price.

Cons:
- spring provided is high resist and get hot with extended use and heat is transferred to bottom cap and can feel quite uncomfortable.
- can't use protected 18650 with nipple without some un-intrusive modifications (have not tired with protected 18350 with nipple yet)
- Slippery surface. not ideal for people with sweaty palms.
- finger print magnet

For those who want to customize the look of your vamo, you can get vinyl sticker skins that are precision cut to the shape and size of the vamo. Those skins also eliminates the slippery surface problem.

I have had my VAMO for a couple of days now and am really liking it so far. I have been using it with button top 18650 and also 18350's all with PCB's (protection). At first it didn't want to work with my old Trustfires 18650's but I gave them a full fresh charge and now it works. Think I was trippin the protection as soon as I hit the fire button. As for the 350's can only use it in single mode cause stacked they are to long unless you unscrew the extension and the end cap a ways and it will work. I do have some Efest IMR's in both sizes on the way. For the money tho, this has to be about the best buy for all the features it has. So far so good with it, but really liking it and the performance has been spot on! Add a Vivi and this thing rocks!!
