I have 2 Volcano "Inferno" batteries, which are re-branded eGos. I really only use my 1000mAH battery, but the switch broke so I'm sending it back for a replacement. That left me with the 650 passthrough battery for the meantime, but it has been being a jerk recently. It's consistently flashing at times, even though I know it's charged. It does the same thing when I have the passthrough plugged in. It's usually a 3-blink flash, but one time it was flashing quickly up to 10 times.... really strange. Thankfully, it does work enough to get me by.
The battery is quite old -- about 11 months of consistent usage -- and I wouldn't be surprised if it was on it's last leg. But... I just read about how some egos have an off-setting, trigger by pressing the button 5 times in succession. I NEVER knew about this, and I don't think Volcano's batteries feature this, but I figured it was worth investigating.
How to eGos behave when they're dying? Do they flash and do weird annoying crap like that? I was hoping that it would just quit holding a healthy charge, because then the battery would still be a useful passthrough... but that's not the case right now.
