eGo battery modification to avoid breakage?

I have an eGo battery that I have broken twice now. the red wire connecting the positive terminal to the board keeps coming apart. I plan to solder it together, AGAIN, and this time place a two part epoxy around the area before shoving the thing back together... anybody have any experience with this type of thing? I need a back up battery and can't afford to buy a new one right now.

no, as i said it's my back-up, so it usually stays at home, or it sits in the console of my car. my issue is more with the construction of the battery "holder" since that's all the metal tube is anyways. the real issue is with finding a way for the upper shell to stay put in place with the lower shell so that the connections to the battery remain solid... does that make sense at all?

i'm fairly experienced, my every day battery is a TKO torpedo v2, the eGo is actually more for [Moderated - drug talk], but the fact remains its construction needs an improvement/modification to be effective, all I am really looking for here is suggestions or personal accounts of what has worked for others

They are probably held together with a dab of silicone from the factory. While they may press back on, without the silicone, they will probably keep coming apart.

^^^True, you will never get that factory fit again. Also you said this was your back up what's your primary? When I moved to a mech I found I didn't need a spare device just a bat box with a 18650 and evod as a backup topper.

I had a problem ego like that for a while. Glue just didn't want to hold the head on the tube no matter how much or little I used. I ended up just drilling a hole through the head and tube and using a small bolt to hold the head on. It didn't look very good but it got the job done with a little thread lock on the nut.
