Current ego battery is a 3 month old vv off and on today when pressing the button to vape it about once an hour sends a mild shock through my finger. Settings it runs at 95% of the time 4.2 volts with 2.4 ohm coil & 2 plastic tanks 3.7 volt at 1.8 ohm. Been using the glass tanks at 2.4 ohm for three days straight. Would a battery this young need replacement already it works fine just the mild shock every once and again concerns me. Only other experience I have was a ego non vv that lasted 9 months before it wore out from use.

Thanks for your help

Get rid of it! Sounds like a positive wire is making contact with the button or case. I'd be afraid that it will short out and the battery will go into thermal runaway. That battery is an accident waiting to happen.

3 month life sucks, I had a 1300 Vision Spinner for 2 months before it went haywire and started firing on it's own. It is what it is, ditch the battery and maybe look at getting a mod that takes replaceable batteries, then you don't have to throw away the whole thing.

I'm here, when I'm here
If it's not a brand name battery, such as KangerTech, and purchased at a B&M, quite possibly a inferior knock off. I prefer to stick with name brands such as KangerTech, Innokin, Smok, Provari (got one coming :D) just to name a few.

You might consider upgrading to one of those such as Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 iClear30 Kit if you would be into a box type mod. I'm currently using one and have had no problems. Battery lasts 2+ days, fits ego and 510 threaded heads, and is vv and vw.

I you prefer something smaller, perhaps iTaste VV iClear16 Kit Lasts about a whole day, also fits ego and 510 threaded heads, and is vv and vw.

In general an eGo class battery with a broken wire/loose connection wouldn't fire at all. A shorted eGo battery would trip it's internal protection circuit, shut down and - wouldn't fire at all.

One member traced their sensation of "shocks" down to a pinched nerve in their finger. Not kidding. Something to consider.

That's a good point, Stonesfl do you have more than one ego?

Let the vendor know about it! After 3 months, they may, or may not offer a replacement, so don't expect one, but just to let them know. Maybe they will stop selling THAT battery.

Sent from my bird in a moist little package :p
