eGo battery recharge time?

So, after happily vaping away for a full day (1/2 yesterday - 1/2 today), finally got a blinking a light on my brand new eGo (from route66vapor here in NM) telling me the battery was gone.

Hooked it up to the provided USB charger, like, 3 hours ago. It did the 5 blink thing it was supposed to when I connected it, and has been steady red (with a blink every 30 seconds or so).

Isn't it supposed to turn green or orange or something when full recharged - or am I supposed to just disconnect it after X number of hours?

I did a search for the answer here but didn't find it.

(Watch it turn green ten seconds after I hit the post button, of course.)

;)

I just received my eGo Mega yesterday. I topped off both batteries (900 mAh) before I began using them. I've been using one of them with a Mega atomizer with one e-juice (USB blend) primarily, while only occasionally using the other unit (with Hilton juice). The first battery just about 20 minutes ago reached complete discharge, and I've put it into the USB charger unit. It's solid red right now. I'll let you know how long it takes to charge. Yesterday, it turned green, so I assumed it was fully charged. That was just topping off the charge that it came from the supplier with, and it only took a matter of 15 minutes or less.

The light on the charger is red for charging and green to signal "charge complete".

At the end of the recharge cycle the indicator light on the charger will alternate between the two colors, then turn green when your battery is fully charged.

Congratulations on the new eGo!!!!!!! They are a great PV.

Did you get the mega or regular eGo? What color?

The charger will definitely turn green once it's charged.

The 650mAh batteries take about 3 hours to fully charge and the 900mAh batteries take about 4-5, both assuming they're fully discharged.

I've also noticed that you can add at least one hour to those times if you're using an actual usb port on a computer and not a dc->usb adapter as most usb ports don't seem to put out the full 5V. (Macs do, in my experience, however.)

Thanks! The, uh, light turned green literally as I read your reply.

However, it's nice to know it's idiot proof. I did read somewhere that leaving it on for very long after it's charged can discharge it, so off it came.

I think I got the regular, not the mega, don't really know the diff. I DO know it is AWESOME.

I (this minute actually) just passed the 24 hour mark since I put out that last, nasty, toxic, foul analog.

I have NEVER made it to 24 hours before, using ANY method, so EASILY.

Not ONCE have I jonesed for a "real" cigarette, and I do not have the slightest desire for one. I can "feel" when nicotine hits my brain, and the eGo works just fine.

Happy new vaper here, now looking at stocking up on some high-octane unflavored juice in big bottles in case the gov does what it usually does and nanny-states a good thing out of existence.

welcome to non-smoker land!!! i used a standard Joye 510 for about a full year without any trouble. (other than the pain in the rear fact that they needed recharging often) i finally picked up an eGo about a week ago... WOW! my batts last me about as long as they did for you. what a difference.
the eGo is the best e-cig i've tried. i'm digging mine and it sounds like you're doing the same. Enjoy!

LOL! Love that.

I charge mine overnight, every night. I have had no problems after having my eGos for two months. If this is bad for the life of the battery, I'd really like to know. Hope others chime in on this.

I bought my first PV (ecig) so I wouldn't smoke in the car. I had no interest in quitting, but WOW, the superior quality of PVs made me not want a cigarette ... I wanted a vape! How can it be so easy.

Enjoy!

I guess I'm just paranoid about running out of battery juice. I have never let the battery go till it starts blinking. So I just charge em up about twice a day. I consider myself a fairly heavy user, but have never had to wait more than 45 to 50 minutes for the charge to complete.

I guess I better add that I actually use 4 Egos and rotate between them. Probably why I get such good run time.

don't be afraid to go the distance. the 650 mah takes about an hour and 45 or so on the high speed charger. no matter how hard you vape, you'll be recharged before you drain the other one.
