I've have some that I had from the start - lost 3 altogther over a year or when eGos hit the market. I have several going so that likely helps longevity. The only 510 batteries that I lost were autos and that was 'pilot error'... But then I use very few of them now. So... as always .... ymmv and the best way to check is a multimeter. If you got them from a place with a warranty - use it! :) if they're truly dead.

Sometimes you'll get a build up around the contacts - center post and outside ring - so clean them well - same with the charger - disconnect it first :) and with the atomizer - always try an atty you know is working if you think the battery is gone. Sometimes it's the center post on the atty - which 'floats' in silicone and can get moved sideways or down to where there's no contact or breaching contacts.

It's hit or miss with them. I've got 3 Riva batts that are over 7 months old and still hold a good charge. A friend purchased a kit about 6 weeks ago and one of hers has already died. Try cleaning the threading and inside the battery connector. If that doesn't work contact the vendor if it's still under warranty.

Has anyone done an autopsy on their Ego when the battery died? I was wondering if it would be possible to dissasemble it and get a new battery to put in it. I am assuming the battery posts would probably be soldered but for anyone that has done any diy that wouldn't be a show stopper.

A few have - there are threads on that subject.. .here's one but you'll have to search within the thread - Scottbee lost a few Rivas on an LR atty and fixed them....
