Artisan vaping has come out with an "ego booster" that is marketed as working only on egos, but I'm given to understand they will work on high drain battery mods as well.

Basically, it attaches between the atty and the atty connector and gives you variable voltage. I've seen where some folks have tried them on their high drain battery mods with great success and was wondering if anyone has tried it on a REO.

I'd also be curious what Rob thinks of these. Any thoughts or experiences to share?

oooh, that could be very good for all the people who keep wanting vv. Grimm green did a vid on it that I watched, and he said it didnt work on all of his ego batts, so it could be nit picky, but if it works on aw imr batts, then it should work on... The REO! I would like to hear what rob thinks about this as well. maybe we could get him to check one out, make sure it is safe to use on the mod, and whether it works. it could stop a lot of people from asking him about a vv reo. I for one wouldnt want to complicate the reo mod, but if it is an attatchment... heck yes. good thinking sir!

I think Grimm's video said it DID work on eGo's. Other type batteries was his concern.

Yep, its overpriced and finicky ... I have one :)

I have not and have no desire to ever attach that ugly ... thing to one of my beautiful REOs !!

And really whats the point, it no longer feeds juice ... it would look ilke crap.

If you really want to try one, just put it on an eGo batt.

What do you mean by finicky? Inconsistent vapes produced or just not working in certain cases?

I have one and I use it every day with my ego batts. I've only had one problem with it. One time my center post got pushed in too far to make contact with the EB, though it worked with my carto alone. I borrowed a safety pin from my fiancee, pulled the center post out a little bit, has worked great ever since. It does exactly what the manufacturer says it does as long as you're using genuine ego batts. If you're using knock off egos, you probably won't be very happy with it.

Gotcha. Yeah, then the booster wouldn't work with it. I'll tell ya though, it's a world of difference with the booster on my ego. I had a situation where I screwed my battery onto the charger too hard, or maybe the battery is just getting old, but the center post of my battery was pushed in and when I went to use it, I wasn't getting any vapor. I took the carto off and put it straight on the battery, and had to take a massively long draw just to get anything similar to what I'd get with the booster on it turned up to the max. So it definately makes a HUGE difference on the ego, not sure what difference it would make on the Reo if it would have worked with it.
