eGo-C Easier draw

I knew I was limited by the pinhole in the base for the cone but I wanted an easier draw out of the eGo-C. Then I figured something out.

It isn't a drastic difference but it's noticeable.

eGo-C is Joyetechs new model (newer than the eGo-T). It uses the eGo-T type A tanks.

If you just rotate the tank 45 degrees, it will draw differently.

Tried it, didn't change the amount of air flow a bit.
I popped a tank (one that came with the ego-T, not one that came with my C model and isn't cut like in the pictures) into the eGo-T atomizer and tried it, didn't work there either.
I held the eGo-T atomizer still and spun the tank while doing a steady draw on it and the flow didn't change at all.

honestly i've found it makes a very small difference, but it is there. it really is hardly noticable though, and in the end, it isn't significant enough to make me all too concerned about it. my ego-c just seems to suck ... regardless of what way it is rotated

I have used the C the same way as the A and B and have had no issues. Weird isn't it?

I've had issues with getting consistent flavor out of the eGo-C and haven't used it much since I started using a tank. I wish I would have just gotten some eGo batteries instead of the whole kit. Live and learn...

With my ego-c ive noticed the wick is pretty dense so I really like to use a more viscous liquid and now I have really consistent flavors. Sometimes the flavor does start to fade/ burning taste; so as soon as I notice I take 1 or 2 quick hard dry hits. It primes up your atty nicely and works well. If you start to taste the flavor fading/ burning, I think its important not to hit it anymore until you prime it, bc if it taste like its burning, something is burning, your atty. Yeah, that wick puzzles me. I push it down and it works a little better then I still get that taste so I push it down some more and it floods. ugh...
At first it worked great so I don't know what the deal is. I've used 6 different atomizers with the 6th one being a low resistance one. I'm pretty happy with these smoktech tanks though so I think I'll stick with them. You can fill the 3.5ml tank and use it all day. You can fill the 5ml tank and use it for two days.

What part of NC are you from? I'm in Cameron.

I saw a video earlier today, forget where, on the mouth end of the tank remove the second plastic "shelf". Not the first one with the "legs", but directly under the first one you remove there is a small flat second plastic piece. Simply remove it and replace the first piece with the legs. I've been using the eGo t for 2 months with the same issues you mentioned. This simple fix made quite a difference. IMHO almost double the vape.

There's two different A-tanks as shown in the pic below. Maybe there's even more, but these are the only two styles I've received in several orders. The one on the left draws easy; the one on the right is really restricted and may benefit from the airway mod shown previously. I don't know because I use the tank on the left with my eGO-C.

As for flooding, the eGO-C benefits from flooding up to the point where you begin sucking juice. At that point, it's time to blow it out from the threaded end and wipe out the tank chamber with a paper towel. Reason it benefits is it has very little wick compared to the T-atty and the head stores very little juice. When the C-tank begins flooding juice also reaches the coil via the baseplate openings.

I used to be concerned with the C-atty flooding and was constantly blowing and wiping it out....resulting in a number of weak hits and wimpy vapor. Once I discovered the hard hits were related to some flooding, I've been very happy with my eGO-C. Good practice not to align the tank airways with the openings in the atty baseplate which will permit vaping longer without necessity of clean-out.

I've read a DIY for making a new wick and on the DIY it recommended making it a little longer kind of like what you're doing but you'll have more wick overall, therefore less chance of flooding.

Well I crammed the wick down until it stopped and now I'm not getting the plastic taste, go figure. I haven't used the C cone in a couple weeks so it surprised me when it put off as much vapor as my Smoktech dual coil tank.

I do both, take the little parts out of the tank tip & cut them little flaps off. I also make sure the hole in the head is clear by putting a small sewing needle threw it. I really like it like that, super easy draw! BTW, this was a GREAT idea about cutting off them flaps! Thanks! It makes a HUGE difference on the B type tanks for sure.
