My ego c tank keeps leaking whenever it gets less than half filled. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have tried switching tanks (all with the silicone bottoms and after carefully punching a hole with a blunt needle before putting it on the atty), I've even switched atomizer heads. It only seems to happen when it gets half full and it all leaks out. :(

My husband has the other battery and has ZERO problems. Maybe because I use mine more than him?

Any other suggestions?

I have gone back in time and used old caps. I rinse them in really HOT water, squeeze them on and pop them on warm. I've just started mixing my own and 70/30 VG PG with a 5% thinner. Is working for me. Like I said, fun fun fun...

The fun we have with our toys...
To me it seems that one thing (juice viscosity, atomizer voltage, battery charge, etc. etc etc.) leads to another. I'll have a perfectly working tank-atomizer, (on a eGo-C) and just change the battery, you would think that everything would be ok, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I get the "burnt taste". I've found keeping the atty WET (LR) and primer puffs help. I'm still looking for the perfect solution. Giving the tank a few or more twists, and some primer puffs to WET it again, seems to get me going again.

Oh the fun we have...

The juice I'm using now is a 50/50 blend, until I get my 70/30 in on Monday. Do you think that's what is causing it? These are brand new tanks and attys.

Tanks can be difficult and all of them tend to act differently depending on juice. Your husband is probably using a thicker juice (more vg). If not are you open the tank more, some tanks I have found after few vapes begin to take on vacuum effect. Then if you open the tank and there is still juice in the tank it may lose the vacuum effect and leak the extra juice. If its neither of these maybe a bad tank.
Good luck and welcome aboard.

When the juice is low there's more air in the tank and it takes less pressure to draw out the liquid and when you draw, you create a vacuum which draws in the juice. Draw too hard and you flood the atomizer which means it won't vaporize as well and will leak.

Hmm, I'm used to smoking mini cigars - and apparently I smoke weird. At least that's what I'm told. Maybe that has something to do with it - I'll experiment.

He has the 50/50 also as that is all the store had. I don't open the tank more, but I do refill more. But I have the same problem on brand new tanks (gone through 3 so far and even tried the method of punching a small hole in them first). Also, on a side note, I found that I smoke twice as much as he does. Always thought it was the other way around!

I think I may actually be pulling too hard on the drag, it makes sense since apparently I'm weird. I'll try going a little easier, and see if it helps. Still so much to learn!

Thanks for all the help!

It's probably not leaking, it's flooding and by drawing you are sucking the excess liquid up through the atty and into the cone where you notice the problem.

You can draw lighter but that's easier said than done in some moods.

The best way I've found is to either refill the tank when it gets low enough to flow like that.

Or by tipping it up while you're drawing you can burn off the worst offending juice consistencies before they get a chance to flood. Tip it up, draw/burn. Tip it down to reload the wick. That way you're free to draw as hard as you want.

Thinner juices seem worse for me and I can take the worst of them down to nothing without a problem using this method.
VG/PG really has nothing to do with the consistency of the juice, either can be watered down to be very thin or left thick.
I vape 100% PG free out of my eGo-C.

A couple that I know each smoked 1 PAD. Hubby smoked his analogs non stop and very hard. His wife would smoke very lightly on the analogs. When they began vaping with tanks she had no problems but he had many. I had to up his nicotine to satiate his need. All is good now. Another friend had the same issue and what I did for him was loan him my Provari so he could vape at a higher voltage. This fixed his issue without having to up his nicotine. My experience, as many others will agree, was initially when I began vaping I drew too hard, was constantly vaping and at one point my wife suggested I crazy glue the PV to my lips :D
Now 8 months later all is good and in actuality things got much better after 3 weeks...some report it takes a little longer but eventually we all arrive at that "sweet spot". The cons of vaping is it's a very personal program and we can all suggest to one another solutions, what helped us, nicotine levels, etc but it all comes down to trial and error. Once we're past that initial hurdle all is good.
Happy Vaping.

I was also getting a burnt taste with my original 50/50 juice and quite rapidly the wick started to clog. However, when I switched to 75/25 juice, no more clogging of the wick and no more burnt taste. This is now my main vape when I am on the road-at home, it is the dual-coil tank with 6 volts but, far too fragile away from home and it is not exactly discrete.
