I just got the kit in and i have a battery plugged in as i type this, but i have a question. The chargers led is red and flashing green. does it mean its done? I havent found anywhere that explains the charger indication lights.. thanks guys.

Just the occasional green blip? Or a constant red/green blink? When I got my Twists, I noticed that the charger would occasionally give a green blip. One of these days I'm going to watch it long enough to see if it's any kind of time to finish indicator. But when it is full charged, it should be a solid green.

Okay, so just an FYI hawkeye the green blip will get faster and faster, until its green with an occasional red blip, then it will be solid green. Ive fallen in love with the iMist atomizer and tank setup, i filled up the vision ego clearomizer, but got nothing but burning wick. It came with a white o-ring that im not too sure where it goes yet either... So right now the vision clearomizer is waiting till tomorrow for a re-try. I got to tinker with the air flow tank enough to figure out how it works aswell, now all i have left to check out is the smoktech cartomizer.

Now that i actually have an ecig coming finally ive been reading up on e-liquid more. While doing this i saw its recommended to let it "steep" for 2-4 weeks. Is this true? Is there any ways to speed it up? Ive been so excited for it to get here but found out i have to wait another 2-4 weeks before i can start.. It was semi disappointing.

Some juices taste great right out of your mailbox, others really do need more time to develop and can change significantly- you need to taste them to know which ones will need to steep, but it's usually the more complex ones that need the most time.

One way to speed things up is to put it somewhere warm (not extremely hot), like a bowlful of hot tap water for an hour or so (seal the bottle in a ziplock first to prevent water from damaging your labels), and shake it up every day while it steeps. If you are the gender that wears one, bra-steeping also works wonders- go ahead and giggle, it seriously works! I have a few ejuices that have needed up to two weeks steeping in the past be perfect in five days using these methods.

Okay, so after lurking on this forum for almost a year now and gathering a suitable amount of information, i finally decided to buy my first ecig and give quitting analogs a shot. A quick rundown of what i ordered, all from cloudsofvapor.

I got the premium starter kit, which contains

2 650mah Joyetech eGo Twist Batteries with variable voltage
1 Black Smoktech eGo Dual Coil Cartomizer that holds up to 5ml.
1 Vision eGo Clearomizer
1 Imist eGo Tank system with cartridge
1 2.5ml Smoktech eGo DCT Tank
and a butterscotch eliquid sample
I figured this would be a good kit to start out with as it has multiple tank systems i can try out first and see what i like the best. I would have preferred a 650 mah and a 1000 mah battery but sadly there wasnt an option for that.

On top of this kit i got
3 of the 10ml containers
COV ego tank with air control (i know it says for advanced users, but i feel as if ive absorbed enough information from lurking enough to know how to operate it, as im also a mechanically inclined person.)
12 mls of cherry tobacco
10 mls of bobas bounty
12 mls of carmel tobacco
to get me started.

Can you guys suggest anything else i might need to start my ecig journey? i feel like i have most bases covered until i can get my personal opinions on stuff.

Over time, you will figure out exactly what you need. Everyone has their own personalized vaping kit of some sort. As others have said, paper towel, napkins, or old t-shirt rags are a must. I also keep a bottle of 90% isopropyl alcohol around. It makes for easy cleaning of threads, attys, cartos, drip tips, etc.

I'm a guy, and even I'm now considering bra-steeping. I figure If I grab myself a 34b, I can have enough room to keep a bottle steeping in each side, and store some paper towels...which also come in handy. I'll just look like a thin lad with disproportionately size man boobs.

Better yet... Maybe I'll just let my wife carry 'em around.

I like Smoktech 3.5m DCT tanks with Boge 2.0 ohm single coil stainless steel XL cartos for the Twist, and the same in 3.0 ohm for higher-voltage APV's.

I'd get a third 650 or an 1000 mah for a little more capacity when out and about, and for protection if one of your batteries fails, leaving you with just one.

Also get an extra charger for backup. In the space program, a "Crit 1" is any component whose failure will result in the failure of the mission. Having just one charger leaves you open for such a mission failure.

You're going to get much better performance with single coils than with duals. Also look at rebuildable atomizers if you're in this for the long haul.

Here are a few links:

Crystal Clear Vaping

Boge Mix n Match (5 Boxes) .92 each

Pro DCTank Tube

chrome trim ring eGo Chrome Cone for the 3.5 mL Dual Coil Tank Cartromizer

USB charger: eGo Rapid USB Charger 6.75

Wall charger: Mini AC Wall to USB Converter 6.25

Plain drip tip: Colored Drip Tip - 510/901

eGo trim piece: eGo Cone Cover for DCTank

Joyetech eGo-C Twist: Joye eGo-C Twist Variable Voltage 650mAh Battery

Ecig Batteries twist $19

You'll have to slot or punch these cartos, but the very low price makes it well worth it. Plus, you can then punch or slot them to fit your particular juice.

Another update, after letting the clearomizer absorb for a little bit, hits like a dream. Im really liking my first impressions on vaping.
Definitely good to hear. One more day with good vaping equals one less day smoking.

Indeed.

Thanks for the information dump john. But ive been contemplating making my own boxmod now though, i have some stick batteries that provide 14.8 volts... Couldnt these be turned into mad vaping machines?
Noooo.... Just stick to your standard 3.7v batteries. You just want to vape, not launch a Saturn 5 rocket.

Well, the sky's the limit, and don't be deterred by what anyone says if something makes sense to you. (That said, I've always taken very much to heart something that my dear, departed father often told me; "When half a dozen people tell you're you're drunk, you'd better lie down.")

I don't know if you noticed this in my signature: "Antari M-8 fog machine - 110 volts - 1,800 watts - 50,000 CFM" - but like I said, the sky's the limit. Do whatever floats your boat, life is short. Wind up about 25 ohms of coil, hit it with some juice, and invite the neighbors over! You have my blessings. :)

Cool. I keep my charger nearby for obvious reasons when a battery is on it, but it's not in line of sight, so I never really get to watch it as it charges. :)
