2.4 Ohms at 4.2 volts is 7.35 Watts. Normal vaping range is about 7.0 to 8.0 for most juices. I have some though that burn above 6 watts and some that need 8.8 Watts. The fact that you are burning your wicks, which is really carbonizing your wicks, and/or caramelizing your wicks is actually fairly normal on certain juices in 3 days or so. Mine burn in that time frame. The dark, sweet, strong flavored juices can gunk up your wicks in a few days. The blanket statement that wicks/coils last one to four weeks is not true as their longevity depends on the juice and the temperature at the coil. My 23% homemade cinnamon Danish will kill my wick in 3 days, tops. Gunks a carto in three to four days, tops. It's my juice, as I'm vaping around 7 - 7.5 Watts. I clean daily, so about every three tanks. I learned to rebuild my own coils to save money, and it was easy. Of course, I didn't do that too long as I prefer carto tanks now, but that was my experience for six months with the bottom coil evods, T3's and Protank/Davide's.
You may be doing nothing wrong whatsoever, and it may just be the juice. Once the wick is fouled beyond your ability to clean, then the flooding and leaking starts, so you have to replace the wick/coil. Buy in bulk, bring the price down to about a buck or less, or learn to recoil, it's fairly easy, or just spend $2 a week and change them out. Way cheaper than smoking. Best to you!
