EGO-CE5 help

Purchased a starter kit and my 1st time vaping and after a use of one of the tanks now flashing 3 blinks but with other tank both batteries work so it is a coil issue maybe? also the rubber ring inside of mouthpiece pushed in and cannot seat on that one with no way to take band off to fix so am guessing that tank is garbage now? Down to one tank and ordered a mini Davide where original got from canadavapes. Am enjoying vaping set aside this one bad tank. been a couple days and only 2 analogs since, coming from a 23 year habit and 15-25 analogs a day. Hoping this vaping thing will keep me off analogs and my goal is to phase out vaping and the need for nicotine a little down the road.

I wish I could help you on the three-blinking button issue, but I don't own one so I won't speculate. However, as for the CE5's, it is my understanding they are rebuildable. Don't throw it away just yet because you should be able to replace the head/coil. They should come apart by unscrewing the bottom-most portion. By taking it apart, you should be able to reseat the rubber piece (Which I believe is the coil).

Don't sweat it too much though. It should be salvageable, so maybe rest on it for a night and enjoy the working CE5. Getting the other one to work is probably easier than you may have originally imagined.

3 blinks = short (too low ohms)

Possible shorted center pin, easy fix (since the head works well on the other batteries)

Weird..I thought the CE5 was a "serviceable" head..hmmm

I recommend CE4S type clearomizers (they are serviceable and you can replace the heads)
$2.26 CE4+ / EGO-T Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Atomizer - single wick / with scale indication at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Replacement heads
$1.11 CE4+ / VV Nova Atomizer Coil Head - 1.8

Word of advice, when tightening the clearomizer, don't hork down on it, gently snug it down, stop tightening when you feel resistance or you crush the gasket under center pin shorting the eGo

Hi Nunavut_Puffer,

3 flashes from your battery is a Safety Feature built in, it means either:

1) there is a battery short (it will auto turn off)
2) the battery is in a state of low discharge (dead) (it will auto shut off)

usually a CE4 is disposable & CE5 you can take apart and rebuild (add new coil)
but not so with some copies...

this one you can see at bottom it does NOT come apart (throw aways)
CE5 Clearomizer

this one does come apart
DV CE5 Clearomizer - Rebuildable

Nice Job cutting down on the stinkies !

Good Luck Vaping :)
