OK so we know that eGo gives us better battery life then the std 510 batt. But I started thinking about if there were any other benefits on the eGo.

People have talked about the cones as it helps contain leakage from dripping. where your leakage will be contained inside the cone instead of on the outside of the device. I don't drip so its not much help for me.

I feel there is another benefit of the cone. I think that it acts as an insulator for the atty. Which in turn makes the vape warmer.

This brings up an interesting point, that during a vape session on a reg 510 your atty will cool off more in between vapes then the on an eGo with cone installed.

I don't know how this would relate to atomizer life span but I would be curious to find out what others think.

Some say it serves the purpose of improving air draw or flow. As tigerlily said, it gives a cosmetic improvement to the PV. No denying that. But, I don't use mine. Much of the time I'm using a mega cylinder atomizer. But, even when using a 510 atomizer I don't usually bother with the cone. For me at least, I think I like the draw better without the cone in place. Ask me next month and I may have changed my mind, LOL.

attys can leak from refilling carts as well as dripping and the cone is very beneficial for that. I like that the cone adds some resistance in the draw so it doesn't feel like sucking air through a straw and that the vapor is warmer. And it's a sweet design....you can easily hide it when your atty color clashes with the batt color.

I have something similar from GP and I really didn't think the cone would have much benefit, however, I was slightly wrong. I had bought some new juice and had tried it in an atty without the cone and it really did not have much flavor. When I added the cone, though, it was a whole different story. I actually found the juice flavor came out a bit more. This could be due to the fact that, yeah, the atomizer does stay a bit warmer for a while. Not sure though, be interested in hearing some expert opinions.

Well here is one I can answer. The ecigs are basically a mini fog machine. Now when fog comes out of a fog machine hot it's a light wispy fog. Now if you make the fog from the fog machine disfuse into a cooling chamber like a fog chiller box the vapor is much more dense and hangs longer in the air. Kinda same thing happens from using the cone. So go ahead and test it out with and without and see for yourself the difference.

Hope that helps some

you mean your post on it? I would never try that. I like to keep my hardware clean and dry so it lasts as long as possible.

Trying new things is how we learn new things. I have been doing it all weekend with no problems and the benefit of not having to drip every few minute. I'm not selling anything, just trying to share.

I'm surprised it took so long for someone to bring this out to the forums. Like I said I've been doing it for a while but never posted on it for a fear or ridicule on "ruining a pv". The ego I use is this method on is over 6months old and the atty is 3months and it hasn't caused a single issue at all. It works alot better with a LR than a standard atty, I thought of this method when the ego first came out and I got one but was disappointed with the results until the LR came into play and I never looked back.
