awesome man, congrats. Wow, that is smaller than I was expecting. Great to see the picts. Looking forward to hearing more about it as time passes. I got jealous and bought a buzz pro today (blemished). Hoping it lives up to the hype, biggest vaping expenditure for me to-date but totally looking forward to it.

I bought the E-Power 18650 2800 from MFS. Nice piece. There were many other options but, well, I settled on this because charging my 900mah batt was becoming too much maintenance. I have been a regular and happy customer with MFS, so I stopped thinking about it and did it.

It is working perfectly for me, but there are a couple of things I'd like to mention. If I take a draw on the E-Power 18650 and then bang it down on a hard wooden table, the LED blinks three times. I couldn't find anything in the instructions or on the forum, but I thought it best if I just stopped doing that.

I guess I had a little difficulty loading the battery into the charger. If you don't have the battery seated in the charger correctly, guess what?..... the battery doesn't charge. Well, I'll have to remember that as well.

The kit included three EGo mega cartomizers - 3.5ml. I'm not particularly fond of the soft rubber tip. I did not fill the cartomizer because I smelled and tasted rubber. So, I ordered a couple Ego type B drip tips and I'll try out the mega cartomizers when the drip tips arrive.

In the mean time I am using Boge 2.0 and CCV 1.7 Resurrector cartomizers. I am vaping very happily with this setup.

If I do any other stupid things to make the E-Power 18650 misbehave, I'll be sure to report back.

Yeah, it is confusing. This is what i've read in the last week or so since my last post. It seems that there are 2 styles of "eGo" type epower mods out there. The one with the blue light which is not regulated so you can use 18650 batts or stack 2 cr123's to get 6v. Those are the newer versions. Then we have the ones with the white light that are regulated at 3.7v and thats all you can get out of them. The older epower versions are the ones with the wide tube and cone and those come in 3 different configurations. Some use the 14650 batts. Some use the 2800mah batts, which I'm not sure how big those are and the third kind are the biggest rated at 2800mah which is what the new epower mods seems to take. You can actually find a 28650 batt at 3000mah. I think the numbers like 14650 and 28650 are the physical size where as the 2200 and 2800 are the actual mah's. For example, you cannot use a 28650 batt in a mod that uses a 14650. Won't fit. Does that make sense? Hopefully that will help clear up some of the confusion. In my opinion, I'd go with something that takes a 28650 batt. They are bigger but last quite a bit longer at 2800 and 3000 mahs. Just keep in mind though, if you get the regulated mod (white light), it will keep you at 3.7 till the battery dies where as the unregulated mod (blue light) will drop below 3.7 as the battery gets weaker. Both have pros and cons. I guess what matters is how you are going to use it. I myself purchased the eGo EPower 28650 mod with the blue light just in case I ever want to bump it up to 6v. Also keep in mind if you are wanting to use any of the ego-t atomizers you may be out of luck. I have two of these mods and the ego-t attys do not work with them however MICKSF who posted earlier in this thread said he bought one from myfreedomsmokes and it does work with his ego-t attys. Mine from myfreedomsmokes does not. Go figure. Just wanted to make you aware of that.

Oh...FYI - myfreedomsmokes sells the one with the white light and libertyflights sells the one with the blue light. Not pushing any vendors on ya but those are the only 2 I know that sell the different models.

Wow that helps a lot... thanks for taking the time to share what you've learned :toast:

Mine does the same, blinks randomly. still hits fine though. I contact the seller, they noted it just in case I run into more serious problems later. been working great other than the strange blink issue.

Yeah, micksf, it only happened when I banged it down on a hard surface. I guess I was being a bit too heavy handed. I have had no blinking issues since then.

As for the battery charger, I'm not sure I like the one that came with the kit. Oh, it works fine and everything, I've just been thinking about buying another one. Anyone have any ideas on a good battery charger for the 18650 2800mah Li-Ion battery?

Ditto....mine does the random blink thing as well every so often even without banging it. As micksf said though, still hits fine and I've had no troubles thus far.

Not sure how good these are but here are a few reasonably priced. I'd probably go with the Trustfire or the Tenergy. Not sure how much the shipping is.

http://www.amazon.com/Trustfire-Mul...6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1329410393&sr=1-6

Amazon.com: 18650 Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery Charger: Camera & Photo

http://www.amazon.com/intelligent-C...7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1329410393&sr=1-7

http://www.amazon.com/Tenergy-Multi...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1329410393&sr=1-12

And if you want to see more just go to Amazon and do a search on "18650" or "18650 charger" or "18650 Battery and charger", etc....

Sometimes you can find a killer deal on a charger and 2 batteries. Good luck.

Buzz pro report - it's great. like you I now get to take advantage of bumping up the power closer to 4v which has improved the vape quite a bit. After having the bolt, the Buzz feels a bit small in the hand and the button is very small for my meaty paws but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Yep. I'm finding 4.0 - 4.2 is my sweet spot for most juices. Gives me good flavor and vapor. Good throat hit too depending on the nic level. I'm using 24mgs but I'm going to step it down to 18mgs very shortly. That's great man. I'm glad you're happy with it. Welcome to the wonderful world of Variable Voltage! It's awesome.....

noego was the original, smoktech mas produced it but used cheaper parts

It does appear to be ALMOST an exact copy. Kind of sucks if they didn't pay the designer anything to use it.

I haven't tried the noego, it has no warranty. It says DOA only. Who would buy that?

Smoktech's new improved version of their E-power seems to have a bigger button(which has a slight rattle to it) it also comes with a 1 month warranty. I've been using it as a stay at home pv for a few weeks, it works with with both flat and nippled 18650s.
