DV has other payment methods than paypal.
That's what they said. I like using the standard method, with a check card, it's quick and simple. I don't want to have to register with any payment system and I don't want any more of my personal info out there than already is. It's just a personal preference.

I would like to know more about kgo riva. I am very new to vaping and have only used an anolog lookalike from the corner store and want to start with something better. Do out guys think that a riva would be easy enough for a newbie to use but advanced enough for me to stick with for awhile? Thanks

Definately, it is a good battery but you will need a good carto to go with it.

I upgraded from from my slim style V2 to a KGO about a month into this whole thing and couldn't be happier. I love them so much I just bought two more,, so now I have two red ones, a blue one and a green one! They're so, so easy to use, the batteries last all day and into the next and with a decent carto or tank,, they're the BOMB!! Hop on over to youtube and watch some videos.. Dark City Vapors has a nice kit that comes with cartos instead of the atomizers that usually come in the kits.. I have really good luck with 1.7ohm single coil SmokTek cartos and Boge 2.0 cartos. I really think the KGO is a perfect step-up for a noob... it was for me, anyway.

Ok, it's time for Go-Go, No-No. I am done with it. The Go-go would be a great unit if the quality was consistent, but it's not. I backtracked and discovered that I started using the Go-Go just short of one year ago. When I first started using it, the quality was mediocre, at best. I assumed they would get better with time and they have, in some respects. Where they have completely failed is their cartos.
In the past few months, I've noticed that the vapor quality wasn't the same. I assumed it was due to me getting used to the level of vapor that they produced. Then something happened. A little over a week ago, I started on a new carto and it was working better than any carto that I could remember. It lasted a full week, where the usual carto lasts 5 days, at best.

After using it for a week, I decided to try a carto from a new shipment I had just gotten. The new one didn't work as well as the one I had been using for a week. I used it for a day and it didn't get any better. I then changed to another new carto, guess what, same deal. After wasting 6ml of juice in those two cartos, I went back to the one that lasted a week and it's hittin' like a champ.

This is not the first time that this has happened, but it's the last as far as the Go-Go goes. I am done wasting juice on these things. They could be the best, if their quality was consistent, but it's obvious that's never going to happen.

I just ordered a KGO today and some boge cartos. I'm moving on. Goodbye Go-Go.

as is always the case, "One man's treasure is another man's trash." The KGO-BogeLR is a very good combo. you should be happy with that set-up. I've personally never had any problems with the gogo cartos but then, I am still working from the stash I bought in March 2011. Haven't bought any since then so I'm not familiar with the QA problems the more recent batches may have.

I must be the only person having issues with the KGO and 1.7/2.0 cartos.

I was using the echo 650 auto with the echo cartomizers. I like them but wanted something prettier and a little stronger. I bought the KGO and boge 2.0's. I can only use it for a short time and then I get a sore throat. I'm trying to figure out if it's switching to manual, lr cartos or if it's the different battery strength between Echo and KGO? Or possibly a combo of all?

I want to love the KGO as I have 3, love the colors and they don't have a LED on the end.

Any ideas, advise, recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I'm still using the Go-carts I bought over a year ago too and have at least 20 left. I've never had any problems to speak of with any of mine either.:2cool:

My Go-Go cartos have been inconsistent for a while now. The biggest problem is not enough throat hit. TH is most important for me. There are other issues with these things too. I still get cartos with rough threads from time to time and sometimes can't get them to go on at all. Had the thread problem way back in the beginning, but it went away for a while. I've recently begun to have problems with the battery making contact as well. I figure that eventually I'm going to end up breaking the contact on the battery, from having to bend it up every time I put the carto on after charging. It seems to me that GO-Go makers have no quality control whatsoever, if they did, they could be the best.

The KGO seems to have better voltage and can last almost as long on a charge as a Go-Go. Having 510 threads is a major plus as well. There are a lot more options for batteries with 510 threads than when I first started using the Go-Go so it just makes practical sense.

You may be getting a hotter burn with the Boge 2.0s. Try the SmokTek 3.0 cartos and it may work better for you. Over the last year I've found through experimentation that different ohms work better for different juices. As an example of my findings, A Pina Colada juice from Discount Vapers worked best using a Smoktek 3.0 carto or an Echo-e, single coil on a KGO. Anything lower like a Boge 2.0 or a Smoktek 1.7 and the throat hit was harsh and burning for my taste. But, The French Toast from DV which seems to be thicher, darker and sweeter seemed to not fire well in the 3.0 cartos. It clogged it up fast and I got quite a bit of flooding and gurgling. I switched the French Toast to a Smoktek 1.7 resurrector on a KGO and I got a very nice dry vape with much increased flavor and no harsh throat hit. No flooding or gurgling at all. Plus the carto now lasts at least 2 full weeks or more. As it appears the variable voltage crowd seems to know and take for granted, different juices require different voltages and different ohm ratings to hit the juice's sweet spot. You can change the voltage applied by using a variable voltage unit or by changing the ohms of the carto. less ohms=hotter coil for a more complete burn when using thick sweet juices. more ohms=cooler coil when using light, thin juices. This is what I've found to be the case.

I must be the only person having issues with the KGO and 1.7/2.0 cartos.

@Mohawkx - I used an adapter to connect 2.5/3.0 cartos and I'm vaping happily away! I wasn't getting enough th from my other setup and thought I wanted stronger but the lr is surprisingly just too strong for me. It's actually a good sign because I think it shows my lungs are a little healthier now. My other set up now tastes great as does the KGO/3.0 ohm so my next step is to start cutting back on the nic level.

I've gone from 24mg to 4mg in about 6 months time and am very satisfied with it. Congrats on finding something that works well for you.

Yes that is good news mohawkz. And a little inspiring. Congratulations. I've been holding at 18 for about 6 months so I think I'll bump it down with my next juice order.
