eGo hard draw troubles

Hi Everyone,

I am a noobie to vaping. I recently purchased a Joye EGo and it has a very hard draw. I tried blowing out the atty and making sure to not tighten it too much, closing the air holes. I have tried two different atty's and am still having problems. Any suggestions would be helpful. I really don't want to smoke analogs anymore but this is such a disappointment. Forgot to mention that the ego is a genuine Joye and has a manual battery.

It could be that since it's new your atty isn't cleaned out. It has all that gunk on it that it was shipped with.

Yes, I have the carts that came in the kit. I have tried another of those thinking the problem might be with the first one.
Perhaps, as you suggested, maybe the atty needs cleaning out?

Try near boiling water soaks. If mine are bad I will do them twice soaking for about 10 minutes then drying overnight. That will usually solve the tight draws.

Use your cartomizer until you get it cleaned out. I had a difficult time myself with the attys and carts. I found the carts hard to fill and always got a metalic taste.

Sometimes the carts that come with the kits can be super-overstuffed with filler, if you take the filler out and cut off a bit along the length of it and then fluff it up and put it back in you may get better results. Don't take off too much because it'll leak, just take off a sliver.

Also, when swedishfish mentioned cartomizers she's talking about these, the 510 cartomizer (atomizer+cartridge combined into one piece). Often they have an easier drag (plus hold more juice, so need to be refilled less often)

I have gotten atty's and cartos that no matter what I do they just are hard to draw.

For those I take a 1/16" drill and open the side holes at the battery connector.

Well, I think the problem was simply that the cart tip was clogged. I cleaned it out and all is well. Thank you all for your help and good suggestions which I am sure I will need to put into use soon!
