Ego kit from Vapor 4 Life

Howdy all!

I recently purchased the Ego kit from Vapor4Life. I already love the battery and the look.

The problem I'm having is, after filling the Mega Cart that came with it (or I think I 'filled' it), it still tastes like plastic?

When I first put the nobacco drops in the Mega Cart, I know I accidentally got some in the middle where it leaked to the battery because I started getting the 'vapor' from the connection point. After which, I blew through the hole and wiped around the connection as much as possible as well as let the Mega Cart sit for a while. I know I have put at least 5 drops of the peppermint nobacco juice at the start. I tried vaping it and it tasted like plastic. Like when a pre-filled cart is 'empty'. I put a few more drops in the Mega Cart and let it sit for quite a few hours to soak in again. I press the button and inhale and it STILL tastes like plastic!!

Did I ruin the Mega Cart totally when I got juice in the middle hole? Could I have not put enough drops in it? How may drops are suggested?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I think those cartos are supposed to hold 5 ml? Measurements vary depending on dropper, but average is about 30 drops per ml, so that carto would take about 150 drops. Did you only put in 5 drops? If so, then you probably burned the carto by trying to vape it dry.
Do you have another carto to try? If you have something like a syringe or child's medicine dropper to measure 5 ml, that will give you a better sense of how much juice to use.

I use to use the Mega's when I started out I think you may have damaged it with lack of juice. I use to take a wooden tooth pick and place it in the center hole then drip into the carto slowly while turning it watching for a drip out the bottom. Once I spotted the drip I would remove the tooth pick and vape all day. Repeat this procedure each morning before leaving the house, I moved on to tanks not long after, I like to see if I am running low on Juice.

I believe I did NOT put enough juice in it. I didn't realize it took that much. (Newb, obviously)

I really hope I did not ruin the carto. I think I will put more juice in it (carefully) and see if that helps. I am able to get vapor out of it as it is now, however, as stated, it tastes like plastic.

If, in fact, I did ruin the Carto, I will order more and consider it a lessoned learn.

And I will also be getting a syringe and extra toothpicks! LOL

Glad to help.
Just remember to keep that carto topped off...depending on how much you vape...once a day or every other day.

My experience has been once you burn the cartomizer, that taste doesn't go away, but MAYBE if you have a really flavorful liquid it will cover it up if you are lucky. I got my EGO from V4L about 2 weeks ago. I haven't used the Megacarts that came with it, but I did burn a few cartomizers in my tanks and I couldn't get over the taste so I had to order more. Lesson learned...always make sure to prime right & I guess, next time I get a new toy, read up on it more before just jumping right in. lol.

if it tasted funky from day 1 then theres something wrong with it, contact v4l, their customer service is outstanding, theyll be able to help you.

I put more juice in it last night. I filled it til it was very very moist then blew through the hole from the bottom. Some juice was coming out while blowing. I cleaned the battery connection area with a paper towel. I connected the battery, pushed the button and inhaled. IT WORKED!! Just to be sure I wasn't too hopeful, I had my husband try it and see if he could taste a difference between the Ego and his standard e-cig using the same flavor. He even said he liked the Ego better!

Again, I want to thank all of you for helping me out! And, yes, I will definitely do more research the next time I try something new/different!
