EGO LCD Batteries

Is anyone else having trouble with their EGO LED batteries. I got mine last week.....used the first one to make sure it was working, recharged, then put it away plus the one that came with it as spares. This morning pulled one out to use and it lights up but doesn't work, nor does the second one when I tried it.

Hmm, I just looked at the web-site I bought these thru and there are no kits or batteries on there anymore. Interesting.

Have you tried cleaning all contacts with alcohol. Apparently there is also a "lock up" system on them. See link below:

Switched also did a review and one of his batts were locked. He tapped the side of the batt and it unlocked.

5 clicks turns the batt off. Have you tried that?

Also, it won't work with some LR atomizers. The protection circuit sees it as a short and won't fire. Sucks because all I use are LR atties.

I have been using with smoketech dcc lr 24/7 for 2 weeks no issues. Hopefully you sort it out. I love mine

Wow, I'm sure I was using an LR when I tried the one battery last week but you're right. Just tried both batteries on an SR and they work fine. And I've been trying to stick to LR's as well. Honestly, just when you think you're finally all set for a while.....you learn something else!!!!

Some of my LR atties work, others don't. I imagine the cut off is like 1.5 ohms. So your 1.4 LR atty won't work, but the 1.6 one will. LR atties of the same brand will vary in terms of resistance. The tolerances aren't very stringent.

Oh man, I hope you still have some of the old ego batts to use with the other Attys. At least those LEDs look cool.

That's why a set of joyetech Ego batteries are 35%+ more money but the lcd's are a good product at a great price give or take the odd little idiosyncrasy and with my luck on joyetech batteries if the lcd's last more then a month I'd be very happy.

One of mine has conked out, button remains lit and won't shut off. Basically the switch = dead. Pricepoint for the units = a good buy for the functionality and the fact that they are 3.7V. OTOH you can't beat JoyE in my opinion wrt quality and longevity - 14 and 16 months on my original eGo batteries.

Also check the centre posts of the battery or cartomizer I have had problems lately moving cartomizers from one type to another or even with all ego batteries . A 1/16 of an inch makes a big difference . I don't know if these LCD batteries are programed to do what your saying but keep what I said in mind .
