I normally order 18mg strength, but I'm gonna cut it down to 12 next batch I order. You are not whimpy, lol, nicotine can be very toxic as you know, also one of the most addictive substances on this planet. I've given up lots of things in my lifetime without looking back but the nic is just too hard for me to overcome. Thank goodness for this method of delivery.

BTW, the itching could also be a sensitivity to the PG. You may want to try more VG and organic juices with your next order if you haven't already,
on my last 2 orders i had cut down to 16mg and then ordered one at 6mg just to see what it was like. i think you're right about the 12mg or so. now that we have a carto that seems so consistent, i think we can finally find that vaping "groove" we've been searching for. now, all we have to worry about is which flavors of juice we'd like and which batts or mods we prefer, so there's still plenty to explore! it never seems to end. lol you may be right about the pg, too. i do plan on trying to just add some flavors to some vg with nic. have you tried flavour art flavors?

i'm with you on those end caps(!), but the cartos are messy syringe fill and then they leave too much to be desired. i just want the caps and will probably just stash the cartos for extreme emergencies (can't think what that could be, tho). the kona mocha hasn't clogged the emdcc's yet, but i did put that carto down after i went thru 2 ego batts in 11 hours vaping. my coffee/cocolate addiction is just too strong. i'm back to vaping it again today, tho, and the carto is still firing great and hasn't clogged yet. remember that i did a 50/50 mix of 36mg kona mocha and vg, tho. the real test will be when i get some 6-11mg kona mocha that i can add straight to the carto without diluting.

6-11mg nic... Your last step to vaping 0 nic.

I'm doin' 0 nic and can go a week or two without vaping if I choose to do so. If I feel 'weak' it's nice to know vaping satisfies my craving to 'smoke'. I love being able to go out with my friends for a beer:party: and being able to vape while they smoke. I still enjoy and love the physical aspect of smoking without being hooked by the nic. When you make that next step to 0 nic... You'll love vaping even more.:)

i can't wait for the day when i can do zero nic! i'm going to take it slow getting there, tho. it seems the flavors would be so much better that way.

Invitro: lol ... you're probably right about that!

Don't rush it... You'll know when it's 'your time'.

For me, the flavor is important, but even more important is the warmth of the vapor. When I tried the 510 tank... I was turned off at how cool the vapor was. Another important aspect for me is the fact that the vaping device still needs to feel like an anolog. I'm sure the KGO will feel close to smoking a cigar to satisfy my desire. Vaping would not be satisfying for me if I have to drag from a tube mounted on a box. In fact I'm considering something from epipemods in the not so distant future. I love the beautiful hand crafted pipes... Diff' strokes for diff' folks.

Your time will come. Enjoy vaping!!!

I've been using the Ego Type B tanks for awhile and I think I'm going to give these cartos a try.
My question: I like to mix different flavor juices in my tanks (honey with capuccino, etc.). Can I do that with these? Or do I need to stick with one flavor per carto?
If so, I'm going to need a bunch of them! I switch back and forth between caramel, creme caramel, mimosa, honey, GV's #1, butterscotch, etc. depending on my mood.
Any comments on those who have been using them?

You really need to stick with one flavor on the EMDCC. First, you have to consider that this beast holds over 4 ml of fluid and much of that is saturated into the filler material. I also enjoy the Ego-T Type B tank and do the same thing you do with them. But I have several EMDCCs in service to do the same thing. Switch the carto to a different flavor and it's easier than switching flavors in a T Tank setup. Also keep in mind that these are only $2.49 each, so you can afford to put several in service with different flavors. An advantage is that it's an instant and clean flavor switch when you change cartos.

do you think the flavors from this web site Nature's Flavors : Organic Flavor Extracts could be used with vg to create my own organic e-juices? this is quite an extensive list, i think. also, do you think the prices seem reasonable?

Vaping any oil based product is not a very good thing to do. Many of these organic flavorings are essential oils. Oil in the lungs is a bad thing, IIRC.

i ran warm tap water thru emdcc cartos #2 & #3 and then put them in boiled distilled water for about 10 minutes to try to get most of the tap water residue from them ... now to let them dry for a day or so. i'm still vaping on carto #1 (opened it on july 8), off and on, so i'm not cleaning it for a couple days. since i only drink distilled water, i have plenty of it on hand.

EVERYBODY: i know i've been here commenting and tossing in my 2 cents on things, but what i've learned from the posts here really overshadows any comments i've made. Thanks! :)

You should be just fine, and they will perform about good as new. Mine have with just a flushing, but even better with steam cleaning. It's so hot out, if you put them outside in the shade for awhile they will dry faster. Yes, watch the type of organic flavorings you purchase, they must be suited for e-juice. I think a few of the organic vendors also sell flavors for DIY. You might try Vaperite or SweetVapes websites. Another outstanding organic vendor is Annette's Virgin Vapors, but not sure if she sells the flavorings. I do know, and have a bottle on order, that she is now selling EcoPure VG with her flavorings and she will mix it anyway you need, with whatever vg/pg ratio you specify, extra flavor, whatever, she will do it for you. Very nice lady.

They take a lot longer to dry than you might think. I've also had very good luck with this vendor of flavors he has all the good stuff you might be looking for. The Flavor Store

thanks for those organic diy flavoring sites! i'll check them out. i goofed up and mixed some stronger nic tobacco (dk tab) flavor for a friend (wanted little higher nic), and i ended up liking it and vaping quite a bit of it myself, so there came the bad nic symptoms again! also, i'm wondering if using emdcc carto #1 for too long might have been a contributing factor? could it be that by not cleaning it sooner (yes, i finally cleaned it, too, last night) there might have been a build up of nicotine after 2 weeks use?

I'm now down to vaping about 4mg of nic today ... trying to undo my mistake. until i can get some more flavors, i practically have no juices to vape because, after i dilute the coffee/chocolate flavors i have, they are just not as good or satisfying. hopefully, i will figure all this out and have some pure flavors to mix myself very soon. today, i ended up mixing a little of the 24mg dk tab 1:5 with mostly vg and just a little distilled water and lemon to cut some of the sweet taste. i think that takes the 24mg down to about 4mg? i don't mind messing up the tobacco so much (flavor was too strong anyway), but i sure want my chocolate/coffee flavors to not taste so washed out! so i'm pretty much on hold here until i can get some flavors to mix with my vg and a little nic ... very little, i think.

concerning emdcc drying time, with our high humidity and all the rain we've been getting lately, i'm not so sure it will be that fast here in florida. it's just hot and steamy outside, but i have the a/c going full blast, so maybe that will dry them quickly. i'll wait until later in the afternoon, today, to see if the first 2 i cleaned yesterday afternoon are dry enough. i haven't a clue how to steam clean these.

oh ... just wanted to add that it's so nice to finally have a carto that makes it all worthwhile! emdcc's rock!!! :)

Here in Arizona where the temp gets 115 with 0% humidity it takes about three to four days for a gogo carto to completely air dry. Gogo cartos hold about 3 ml of juice so I would expect a 5ml carto in high humidity to take longer. You see, the filler material is designed to hold and retain moisture. That's it's job. When you fill a cleaned carto up and it tastes washed out or totally lacking in flavor then you know you've filled up the carto with water still in it. It also won't hold as much juice with the initial refill after cleaning.

Some people use ovens. Some people use dehydrators. Some people use hair dryers and the cooling fan of their computer. Taryn spin is one of the better methods of accellerating the drying time. What I've found over the time I monitor the various cartomizer threads is that most people air dry their cartos, especially the new cartomizer users. Generally the problems they have are not judging the extent of time it takes to properly air dry a cartomizer and they refill with water still in the filler.

I think there is less mass to the filler in these than there is in the go-go. The filler material is different in all the dual coils than any other carto I've seen. It has more and larger air pockets than the filler in a boge or something like that and it contributes to the difficulty of burning them.

That said: When I cleaned one out, I blew water out of it for a long time. Then, it sat all of one day and most of the next in a sunny window and the sun was enough to get it so hot it was uncomfortable to touch. I couldn't detect any moisture left in it.

@Tom10 -A reverse tarun spin would be a good idea. I'll do that next time I clean one. I wish that would have crossed my mind. I spent maybe 10 minutes blowing it out.
