The dead EMDCC my friend x-rayed - this is the one where a coil died after I ran it a month. After he x-rayed it he put it on a fairly accurate ohmmeter and the thing read 4.14 ohms, so one coil was gone and the other one was pretty close to gone :)

I likie the lighter draw part, maybe more like the Echo-E but on steroids.

I can't seem to keep mine from clogging after a very short time. It's a pain to always be trying to unplug it when the draw gets so hard I feel like I'm going to suck in my eyeballs. LOL I'm curious if these will be the same way. I'm close to giving up because of the hard draw. :(

Liquids can play a big role in clogging cartos. Darker/sweeter liquids clog cartos faster.

My husband feels the same way, so I ordered him some Echos. I think we all draw at different rates and I know he still draws on cartos like he is smoking cigs, big heavy quick draws. I've tried to get him to lighten up on the intake but he can't seem to do longer, lighter puffs. I don't have the clogging problem but most of my liquids are 60pg/40vg and of the lighter variety. It probably does make a difference. Also they are so big that it would require more of a draw just to get the vapor going, so it's important to blow out that center tube quite often. For me the Echos are too light and don't produce enough vapor. A good all around carto is the Boge 2.0, but requires a lot of topping off to keep em moist.

I think that you're 100% correct. A theory is that the coils get gunked up - globs on the coils expand - pressing against the air tube - gradually closing off the air tube and making the carto unusable. This theory sounds reasonable because the blockage is where the coils would be. There isn't room in the carto for the coils to increase in size with the globs of unvaporized materials. Maybe someone has a better theory than this. If so, I haven't heard it. Otherwise, the EMDCC's usually last for weeks instead of just days.

At first I liked these better but for me the GoGo carto is more consistent and a lot less hassle. It's a shame because I really liked these but it just isn't cost effective for me when a GoGo cart lasts me months and never gets clogged and the flavor is quite a bit better. I'll keep checking in here and see if there are any changes for the better or if the clones get good reviews. Thanks everyone. :)

Mine havent hassled me at all, I'm on my third emdcc in two weeks - one I lost and the other I dripped some nasty liquid in there by accident. But havent had airflow issues really. I just do like any other carto, if the airtube seems a bit much to the side i try and move it, puffing out the side its closest to.

i'm vaping the same liquids and mine are starting to clog now, too. i just switched from the old (first) ones i bought the beginning of july to the newest batch, and something seems different to me. the draw seems much tighter. i just opened my 3rd one (tossed 1 already). i'm hoping there are better ones in this new batch.

forgot to add that the first carto i opened from this last batch seemed fine, and i'm still vaping it ... so it's just 2 out of 3 that seem bad, so far. also, in the past, i've noticed that sometimes a carto will improve on the 2nd day, so i'm still hoping.

It's always something! I PM'd you a solution of sorts but your mailbox is full again! It didn't go. LOL...

hi ... i'm ready for that solution. these were fresh cartos ... not ones that went bad from clogging. to start with the center hole was much smaller. i think the 3rd one might be improving a little, tho. i'll know tomorrow. they just seem different to me. i have more left from the very first batch, so i may open one of them to compare. :)

I really wanted to like these things. It seems to me that the flavor washes out pretty quickly if they are not close to being full. I do use all VG (Ecopure), but it is thin for VG and wicks well in joye cartos. I'm not chain vaping them either. I use a 510 tank for back up and although there is comparitively less flavor, it puts out considerably more vapor than my ego 1000mah pass through with the EMDCC's. I suspect that I need a slightly higher voltage battery, so I've put in an order for a Kgo 1100 from hoosier. If that doesn't improve the vapor production, I'll probably be moving on. These things are still pretty new so hopefully they'll get the bugs worked out and I'll revisit them.

My solution was to try the clones next time, maybe they are more like the first batch? I'm seeing some differences also. Mainly just the leaking when filling, but they do seem to draw a tad harder. If they did make that center tube smaller in diameter that would explain the problems.

vapingzone just dropped the price on the clones to $2.99 for singles and $13.99 for a five-pack. Mine last a long time so the extra 30 cents each for a pack of five works for me as I think they've got a bit lighter draw and a bit hotter atty - but I need to remember to keep stressing that I've only tried one of the clones - and I'm still using it.

I'm spoiling myself this week. Hurt my back at work a couple weeks back and got a less than stellar check, so it was make do and use what you have time. Not this week. This week I am vaping like a king. Why is this relevant to the thread? I need advice.

I am picking up KGO batteries, which I am excited about. I am also picking up some of the AVEjuice stuff, namely the Boba's Bounty and some Gorilla Juice. I've never messed with 100%Vg juice before, but I think the PG is to blame for my weekly mouth sore outbreak. It's been 3 months without analogs, that shouldn't happen anymore. So I'm gonna try that. Wizard was talking not to long ago about the EMDCC clones having a lighter, fluffier filling, and here's where the question comes in.

Am I going to have better luck using the smoktek emdccs or the vapingzone clones for a 100%VG juice. My 33% seems to be plugging up the smoktek ones at a somewhat fast rate, and I am just not sure what my best carto option is.

My experience with 100% VG in the vapingzone emdccs was not so good. It didn't plug up, but the flavor went bad in about three or four days.

If you don't like bobas and/or gorilla juice at first, stick with it. That stuff grows on you.

The kgo's will handle either type of emdcc better than an ego or most ego clones. The extra volts really bring them to life. And, they seem to last longer. My guess is that running them a little hotter keeps the coils from gunking up so fast.

I've still got at least 4 unused emdccs in my box o stuff in the desk, so maybe I'll stick with them for a bit yet. I was not sure if VG played nicer with dense filler or the lighter fluff wiz reported. Thanks for the input. I'm honestly super excited to try the bb and gj, I've heard amazing stuff. I tried mister e's 555 variant, but it was a bit too nutty for my taste, and I'd love to have a nice tobacco blend or two. Will report back!

Regarding Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice, I have heard several people say the same thing. If you don't like it, keep vaping it. It grows on you. That is indeed intriguing, because no flavor has ever grown on me. If I didn't like it at first, I didn't like it.

I ordered both on Monday so hopefully they will arrive tomorrow. Never tried either. Eager to try both.

Six, did you buy a KGO?

JJ :)

i do now believe the filler material (not the center tube) to be the cause of the problem i've been having with the last batch of emdcc's. as long as they're the way they are now, i won't be buying any more (or even vaping the ones that came in this last batch). it didn't seem to matter how much juice i filled with ... it either leaked out or just glutted the carto, and, if i got any vapor at all, it didn't last long ... either too full or not full enough, and the draw was so hard it hurt. that was in 3 of the 7 i purchased. i thought waiting overnight would help, but it didn't, and i thought i could save the first one, but i couldn't (it seemed a little better for a short while). i feel like i wasted my money on these. i can open the last 7 one at a time and try them out, tho, but why waste my time?

i still have 8 of the very first batch left, so i just opened one and filled it. the center tube was very small, but after i filled the carto, i was able to increase the size of the center tube for a lighter draw. i now have vapor again, and i'm using the same juice. what a huge difference! :)

i really hate to say this, but i will not be buying any more emdcc's (unless i hear they have gone back to being as great as they were when they first appeared on the scene).

i forgot to add that, from the start, it seemed that we were sometimes comparing different cartos. i can only wonder about that? it must be the latest improvement that i don't care for ... or i was unlucky enough to get 3 bad ones in a row. just my opinion.
