Hey, Kirwin - isn't this purty? Image snagged off Happy Vaper's site.

edit: That's stainless, not titanium - I'm pretty sure VZ's got clones the same color. You probably don't wanna order cartos from Canada ;)

I thought this was a new copper color with brown rubber and it looked super nice, but it's just majorly wonky lighting. I am sad.

and all these years i was thinking green was blue! lol that does it(!) ... definitely have to ask some people i know what color they think these wrappers are. after that, i'll definitely be seeing my eye doctor and see what she says! lol compared to certain shades of blue, these look more green, but compared to certain shades of green, they look more blue. perception!! it could be the lighting in my apartment, too. but ... i have a green frog sitting on an end table, and the wrappers really, really look blue to me. :)

Ha, and you thought I was color blind when I said green! Here's the thing. When the cartos are still in the wrap, the carto makes the wrap look more green. But when you take the carto out of the wrap, the wrap looks more greenish blue than green. It's not your eyes, it's just a tricky color!

well im thoroughly disappointed.

i got my replacement cartos in from madvapes yesterday. the first one i tried out works pretty good. the flavor is definitely better. the draw is a bit tight though.

buuut... of the 5 pack that i ordered from VapingZone... these things dont work worth a s&*@. 3 of the 5 that i have tried all perform the same. they have a very airy draw to them, very little vapor, cant taste the flavor at all. its a similar taste to an atomizer that doesnt wick. hot and dry, burns the esophagus. had to adjust the battery contact pins on 1 of them and was hoping that was the only problem. had about enough of this rotten luck

Would look really nice on a black battery, or maybe even the chrome battery.

It would look pretty nasty on my titanium KGO though... Ha!

Sorry to hear that...I think in our quest to find a carto that will hold a ton of juice we are giving up some of the advantages of a smaller size carto and are reaping all the cons of such a large capacity unit. Also it seems it's more or less a crap shoot on the quality of these cartos. I really don't like wasting my precious juice on a faulty carto that only works well for a day or so. I'm following Veggiegirl's advise and doing the first fill with just unflavored pg/vg mix to "test" the draw etc. Then if it works ok I'll put some juice in it. But things should not be this complicated. I'll stick with my newly found 1.7 Smoks which hold a fair amount of liquids and also the Boge 2.0 for everyday use and have a working emdcc in the wings for long outings when I'd appreciate a large cap carto. If these continue to be such a hassle then they are just not worth it to me in the long run.

Sorry to hear... But do appreciate you sharing your experience with these cartos.

ive got some 20% vg that im using. on another carto i added some distilled water thinking maybe it just needed to be thinned out.

it does look like they arent wicking or getting juice to the coil. if i look down the center tube while activating the battery, i can see the coil light up. fairly certain its full. had some excess come out the bottom. did a syringe fill on the other one. >=/

yup. on all the Smok labeled carts i have that DONT work properly, i can see the coil firing. same with these VZ EMDCCs. im not 100% sure in how these were supposed to be designed or if its a defect or a flaw. but its a commonality that all the bogus ones share.

That is beyond bizarre. You didn't stick anything inside it, did you? I've never seen the coils through any of mine, but I've never had a dud either. That is a weird little problem you've found...

do you think i should bother with putting in a ticket or bringing this to their attention? i did notice the same thing on the bad ones that i had gotten from MadVapes

I mean no disrespect but I think it's pretty unlikely that that many EMDCCs from two different manufacturers and two different vendors would have issues.

Can you tell us a little bit about exactly how you filled them and how much juice they took?

The coils have a 'diaper' (aka wick) wrapped 'round 'em. There should be no way you can see the coils glow.

Bizarre is right...

Right, I just tried that with one of my new ones. Could not see anything glowing orange or red. But I wouldn't doubt it, maybe there is a China factory churning out parts for many of the major Chineese distributors who then in turn brand with their own names. We'd have no way of knowing. From what I see on some of the pics on their websites they are all so "clean" looking with workers in lab coats and all, but who knows what really is the case. Perceptions....

Did y'all know that SMOK means "Dragon" in Polish? Good name!

I just ordered a 5 pack of Dual Coil Echo-E cartos. I think I like the Echos better. They seem to have a real tube down the center, and they don't taste burned, even if you run them dry, which is not something I do very often. They fill nicely with a syringe on the first fill, and then drip or shoot in. The tube protrudes, so you can pool the dripped liquid and let it soak in. The regular ones are 2.5 Ohms, the Dual Coils are supposed to be around 1.6 and give hotter flavor. Mountain vapor has them in Metal and Black $18 with shipping for 5. We'll see. Another try. The EMDCCs with no real tube seem to swell up and draw harder.

I dropped a Joye eGo battery hard on the office "carpet", and it never lit up again, and 2 ohm Bogies are hard to criticize.

Meanwhile I've perfected my scale filling technique. Put a carto on the scale, say we get 9.3 grams. Subtract that from the full weight scrawled on each carto box, say 10.5 for an Echo, divide by the density of the juice, mine are all VG at 1.2 g/ml, and fill the syringe with that volume of liquid, 1 ml here, shoot it, bam, set it aside to diffuse a few minutes ... next?
