My girlfriend recently started vaping with an ego one, the original was the round one and it rolled often and would start to malfuction if it hit the tile floor. She bought a new battery called a coolfire 4 and used a new ego one tank. She likes the way it hits and has quit smoking. Her issue is a very high consumption of ejuice. She filled it up today at 1pm and it was empty at 5, is this normal. she is currently using the .5 ohm coil. She is annoyed at how my juice it is taking. Any suggestions. I have searched the forum but didn't feel any of the questions hit her problem exactly. She currectly has the original ego one, and the coolfire 4 battery with the ego tank as well, she used .5 ohm coils in both and they both seem to burn a lot of juice, you can even here a sizzle when using it. Is this normal? Should she try a 1 ohm coil? If she does use a 1 ohm coil can she increase the nicotine amount to higher than 6mg? Any help will do, she asks me to work on it and I don't have the knowledge. She seems to have to work it on a lot, and filling it up constantly results in spills often? Any help at all will be appreciated.

Yes very normal. If she is liking the way it vapes why change anything? Higher ohm coils would lower amount of juice and save a little battery. Go to a higher nicotine and vape less would save juice. Lower the watts down and burn less juice. I go through a 30ml bottle in a day and a half now subohms. My wife has an eGo one mega and I fill it twice a day. The ego one is smaller than the mega. Perhaps don't stress her out so much and she won't vape as much. LOL j/k

SubΩ setups burn through a ton of juice, that is just the nature of the beast. You could get another tank that uses higher ohm coils...using 1.8Ω coils I'm able to vape 18mg juice with no problem

A 1 ohm coil will 'use up' less juice than a .5, the nic content level may need to be increased. That is a person to person thing.

The problem is constantly having to open it and fill it, and atomizers go bad quickly and the e juice gets expensive. Just trying to figure out a way to use less juice, and less time working on it. She uses 6mg nicotine, will the 1 ohm coil allow her to increase the nicotine level? I use a joystick mini and I like mine, but just trying to figure out the best setup for less e juice consumption and a higher nic level wouldn't hurt. I like the way it hits too but its been a pain in the ... over the past few weeks, and the amount of coils and ejuice has been rather expensive.
Find a low cost juice supplier like VapeWild or the like, 120ml for ~18$
A higher VG to PG ratio will go thru coils quicker. What ratio is she at? Try 50/50, or even higher PG.

I think we will try a 1 ohm coil, we are new to this and aren't familiar with the different possible options for setup, but the current setup keeps her stressed just trying to keep it going. She has spend 250 bucks on juice and e cigs in the past 5 weeks and its still constantly a problem, then she gets annoyed and when trying to fill it the stuff spills and then after opening it the coil is burn...etc. She likes the ego and doesn't really want to switch but that may be an option as well. I try to help her keep it going but I am no expert of course. Thanks for the replies and anymore advice would be greatly appreciated.
her first e juice was 50/50 today she bought 70/30 but still ran the tank out in about 4 hours
I think the ego one tank is only 2.5ml like the original Atlantis...3-4 hours seems about right
I usually use a 1.5 or a 1.8 ohm coil. The base liquid I use has a 75PG/25VG ratio. I sometimes add very little flavor to that. I have 2 15ml Unicorn bottles, one with just the base, the other is lightly flavored. That 30ml of liquid will last me close to a month. I vape about 1ml a day, which is a person to person thing too. The coil in my clearo lasts me more than a month.
It should work fine and she could probably up the nic to 9 or 12mg is she wants

When you change the coils try washing them and let them sit for a couple days to air dry the cotton. I use a blow dryer sometimes to dry the cotton quicker. They do turn black looking but that is only juice. Wife is getting weeks out of her coils. Don't change them unless vapor goes down hill or tastes horrible/burnt. I rebuild my coils so mine could last longer than stock coils. I got a bunch of old ones from the vape storeand rebuild them so I never tried new stock coils. Some stock coils are not the greatest to begin with because they are mass produced with no care involved. Good luck to you.
