Sorry, kind of long, but.....I'm hoping that someone has a bit more experience with this than me and can help me figure out my dilemma. Having probs w/ my EgoOne Mini and not sure if it's the decice or liquid.... After 5 1/2 mos having it, button on battery died as well as the charging cord (just the cord, not the actual plug in wall adapter), took it to store and they didn't have any batteries in the mini size so they gave me the battery off a display, prob solved. Well, 2 mos later and it seems like it's not either taking or holding a charge. Can use while plugged in but after it's 'charged' it only works for a few mins then goes dead, HOWEVER, if I leave it a few mins off charger it seems to work again for a few. I did start using a much thicker juice that seems to gum up my 1.0 ohm coil and this is where I need help from someone who knows this device better than me.... Is it possible it's clogging the coil and safety shutting off? The non specific cord? Or just a bad battery?? For the cost of these I don't mind replacing the thing after 6 mos with a new one since I really like it for its size and vape, but if it's the thicker liquid I don't want to kill another and still need to buy a bottle of my flavor in both vg and regular vg/pg at $20 bottle to thin it out (the straight thinner one was prone to burning if I wasn't careful with the lower ohm but did well on a 1.5+ coil) So please, if anyone has more exp with this device and higher vg liquid or had similar probs please help :)

Hi,
1. I don't think so.
2. I doubt it.
3. That would be my guess.

Yep, That's what I would do. Then you have at least another solid 6 months of use.
Where did you get a 1.5Ω CL/CLR coil? Are you using a Genuine Joyetech product?

Have fun

Yeah, I got it local B&M so I could verify had auth codes. The 1.5 (1.6 maybe) coil was an eleaf tank that I had that was easier to fill and less of a juice hog :) (since broke- glass and concrete don't mix it seems)

I don't think the viscosity of your e-liquid would be causing your problem. If it is your all day every day device then it could be that it is just worn out. There seems to be a limit as to how many times a battery can be charged and still hold a charge like it did when new.

Coincidentally I was just looking at one of these and thinking about buying one. It sure is a sleek looking device. This Joyetech eGo One 2.5ml 2200mah - Stainless [gv-JoyetecheGoOne2200mah-STNLS] - $59.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more is the one I was looking at. I like that it has a 2200mah battery so should last a good long time between charges. I know it will be like all built in battery devices ie: Toss when the battery gives up but I really like the looks of it and if I can get 6 months to a years use then I wouldn't complain.

They really are a nice handy little device. I have the mini and may get the regular 1100 mah one since size wise they about same height but the 1100 is just a few mm wider and I can pick from a lot more tanks and have a flush mount finish. Personally for me though the mega (2200) was too big for my needs as even my 850 got me thru a work day before it needed charged and I like the portability of the 850 & 1100 vs the 2200 was larger than what I could comfortably throw in a pocket, but again, just each persons personal pref :) Theres also Kangers newer Subvod worth checking out.

I purchased the three you mentioned, the 850 mini, the 1100 and the 2200 about this time 2015. They all have been great and reliable.
The only issues are NOT to stand them up when charging (they get WAY too hot) and they don't like to be dropped on hard surfaces with any regularity.

I have two in daily rotation after a year of solid use. (The 2200 died after a 6 foot fall last summer.) :-(
The 2200 did last most of the day, the smaller ones NEED a partner to make it.

I have a Mega CT headed in for testing. Fingers crossed.

See, that's what's weird; it doesn't always get hot while charging now as well, the button light doesn't show low usually either but it's hitting like it's full charge down to 90% air then nothing like a dying battery after 10-15 draws on it :(
I did admittedly drop this once in time I've had it, but the prev battery was dropped 3-4 times, each time usually no more than from chair to patio height....

Most batteries have something like 300 full charges for a lifespan. Realistically, the performance may start to decrease after 200 charges. Six months is like 180 days. My guess is you are just at the end...about time to arrange a proper memorial service.

You might consider the next bigger size which would, of course, have a longer lifespan. I have the 1100 mah, which I still consider tiny, and I'm considering the 2200 mah size.

The sad news is that batteries simply don't last very long no matter what kind they are. If you're looking for a good replacement and something very small, the new volt or an istick 30 watt are tiny and will get you through a work day and then some. If you want to upgrade from those options, my VTC mini is a solid choice without bulging your pocket.
