Sound like you may have a connectivity problem with that one coil. Happens. I use madvapes' circuit board spacers when this happens, but they are out of stock ATM. When/if they do restock, I suggest getting a few of those--they work great.

Circuit Board Spacer | Madvapes

Thanks! since they are sold out, so I'll check back later. Are those typically hard to find?

all right - now were talkin' :D

was wondering if you might like the bigger air hole of the .5Ω
but if you-be-happy @ the smaller air hole of the 1.0Ω - all should be good...

Just ordered the .5 to compare. I like the 1.0 but what if I like the .5 better? I'll never know unless I try! fT price was way better too!

You can also mix and match the airflow by swapping the positive pins back and forth between the two.;)
Whoohoo! Just ordered another Pico. White one to go with my white Mega V1.

Now THAT I never would've thought of. Great idea, I can't wait to try it!

there ya go, that's what I've been trying to tell ya ;)

the coil bodies are the exact same - you can make WHATEVER you want for coil Ω's

so ONLY thing left is the ' center-pin ' - big air hole or small air hole (mix-n-match)

hot Ω sm hole / cold Ω big hole etc.

never know what ya like till ya try it (having the options is GREAT) :p

those little circuit board spacers are a hard find, MV was only place I ever ended up getting them from

doubt you will need them, but they are like a spare tire or insurance - every vapor'er should have some... :headbang: :smokie:

I was wondering about these...if the center could be cut to fit in inside the 510 connector well? Plus the outside could still be used for when you re-do batteries?
$2.17 Paper Insulation Gasket for Flat 18650 Battery (100-Pack) 100-pack - 10.5mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
These were the smallest I could find atm.

ChelsB?
anyone?

:)

Thanks, Sugar. At the moment I'm the last person who should be offering help. I've yet to re wrap a battery![emoji38]

LOL... Not the battery part.....a substitute for the ones ya'all were talking about for the Circuit Board Spacer and the ones madvapes were oos on. Madvapes lists theirs as 6.2mm in diameter by .25 mm thick and I was wondering if they could be cut to size.

these are hard waffer board *as in a computer mother board*
insulated around the outside & metallic on the inside center
they are to FILL THE GAP if your 510 threading won't reach the 510 positive pin (+) :)

Yes, I need to get more. I think it's just right!

I just rebuilt the coil, wow, super easy and fun!

Color me impressed! I've not yet rebuilt a coil on any of mine! Welp, I suppose it's because these things just LAAAAAAAAAST and LAAAAAAAAST forever. I've actually only rewicked a small few times.

New rainbow of little babies have appeared,

plus a MARVELOUS new bigger baby (thank you to my Bestie).

Grrrrrrrr. I'm getting dry hits. Juice flow wide open on a 1.5ohm 2.5mm kanthal coil with KGD cotton and 50/50 juice. :grr:

In agreement with Sir Hoefer. I do believe it's just a case of too much cotton stuffing. Rayon, because it actually shrinks a bit, needs to be stuffed in there much more aggressively.

This was the first time I was actually happy to receive something that didn't work! It helped that these are WAY easier to rebuild than bf RBA vertical coils! But I'm still chuckling about being excited about receiving a "broken" coil!

so did you go ALL CSI on that coil and discover WHAT THE PROBLEM was . . . ?

RIght. Those are the exact opposite of insulators. :) They actually restore the connectivity between the power source (battery) and the atomizer pins when the two don't quite touch.

In the very old days, we had to either pull the positive pin out a hair (risky procedure) or use a staple mod. :D

Staple Mod - Filling The Center Conductor Gap On Penstyle Atomizers

That was fun.

Now the 510 connection on most mods is usually spring loaded, so the electrical connectivity problems are rare, but they still do happen. For those times, I use my trusty Madvapes circuit boards.
