Picture came out too big next time will resize smaller.

my favorite setup @.095 ohms made with 2.5 coilmaster / 12.5 watts 96.4 pg/ 3.6 vg with organic cotton as wick. Bottom screw on coil head is screwed up almost to the upper screw as e-liquid is very thin and flows easily to wick.
Cotton is cut thin so as not to be tight when placed and pulled thru coil just a tad bit snug.

Here is megav2 that needed new base, only one on hand was a black one .
The black color was sanded off and one can see the copper showing in spots.
May eventually take whole tank down to copper color and then polish it with dremel.

That should look good.

Just checked fastech order of 1 of 3 pico -s due to arrive this coming Monday as it has passed via
ISC Chicago office -i'm in illinois.
If by chance it arrives early enough Saturday before we leave for weekend trip to casino it will get a real good tryout there. Someone will be here if package needs to be signed for .

Puf- Your good- may I ask where you found the photo of the airlow base ? It looks to a pressed fit and not intended to be taken apart but that has not stopped me in the past :)
As you noted: the diameter of the coil surely can play with the air passage. I have settled on a drill bit between 2.5 and 3mm so the wicking is sufficient to fill the side cut outs of the coil. I find it interesting how ones tastes can change quite quickly. When I first switched from the Pro Tank to the Mega I never thought I would use the the airflow fully open as I do now. Last night I read the first few pages of this thread and had to chuckle. I saw it didn't take you long to make this change as well.

Well, yup yup that are Purdy obvious.
Now we need pitchers showin how proximity of da coil to da top cap also affecks da flow. I know ya Ken dew it.

lol , well they just about got it fool proof
there is enuff space over-n-under the wick (inside) that if you just stay with-in the square window they give you, all is good...

heck, there is enuff room to drive a truck in there... :D

the only real restriction will be the hole in the center pin
then if you cover it up with a large diameter wick (as in previous picture) air flow will be decreased from filling the chamber

found that picture from Plett in the tootle-puffers thread (I think) - thought it was very bizzar when I seen it
I've NOT ever had to take one apart so I know next to nothing
but maybe you've read many pages back where my wife drops/knocks her eGo ONE mega and slightly separates the base
what it does is pulls the coil away from the center pin and no contact it won't work... I've learned to just squeeze it back together
upload_2017-4-12_14-17-54.png

2.5 and/or 3.0 mm is what I use - not sure which I like better...
that's funny, I sometimes read back also - a few months and thread will be 2 years old (crazy long in e-cig terms/technology)

yepper, never figured I'd be a direct lunger !, but it's the only way I vape now...

I have one gripe with my V1s. It's the variety of different tightness on the AFC ring. 1 is so tight that I have to dig a fingernail in to move it. Another is so loose that the slightest touch will move it. The other 6 are everywhere in between.
The loose one is the really annoying one. Can anyone suggest a fix?
Finally Figgered out a safe damage free fix. Managed to get a tiny sliver of toothpick stuck between the AFC ring and base. Most likely temporary but I gots a whole box of toothpicks.

that Joyetech 'candy apple red' sure is very sexy good lookin' @Winblows ;)

- - -

haha , the toothpick and vapin'

I've wedged that in, air flow holes, drip tips, use it to wrap coils, etc. ...

I'd guess I'd have to say the `ole toothpick has contributed about as much as ANYTHING toward my vapin journey...

Pico-s order from FT on April 4th tracking now shows to be delivered today.
Another order from earlier on April 1st due Monday taking a tour of several Indiana
post offices after passing through ISC Chicago post office only to have to come back to us in Illinois.

Going to vape it exclusively with a broken in several day old clr today and tomorrow so should go through at least 3 to 5 tank fills to see if it leaks and for taste ease of use etc.

If it does well will bring to 2 and half day casino trip this weekend along with couple of spare megav2s
just in case.
Hope it does not disappoint but one never knows .
Do know the joyetech mega's are fine just need to find out how this one is personally.
