Me
I was told that "all of your newer Rivas are true 3.7v devices" but you still have some of the older 3.2v ones in stock. I was told to drop you guys a line to ensure that I get a true 3.7v... this is coming from Ty and/or Abe apparently...

Anyway, I just submitted my order and wanted to request the true 3.7... can you help me with this or should I contact someone else?

Thank you very much for your help...

LF guy
The only old style is the UNC. everything else in new and improved!

Me
I don't know what a UNC is, so I'm guessing I didnt order it and don't have to worry

: P : P

So I dont need to bother anyone to make sure I get a new-style Riva?

My girlfriend wants to try vaping after watching me enjoy being cig-free for the last 2 years... I want it to stick!

Thanks again for your help/quick response!

LF guy
No worries!

Take care,
Ty

If you ordered a Riva lately, sounds like you're getting the "new and improved" 3.7v

Ty and Abe at LF recently said that all Rivas are created equal now at 3.7v with the latest stock. When ordering, it is suggested to request the true 3.7 volt ones in the comment section just to make sure you get the newest batteries. When Rivas were first started, only the SEs were 3.7v, but now they all are. The SEs have the silver band and the others have a gold band is the only difference now.
almost wish i wouldnt have waited to order my first riva kit.. think ill still go with the se though since im getting a 510 this time and i hate gold with a passion.. even though the titanium kit i got is a goldish color

Thanks again everyone. And no worries about the hijack. Lots of great information here. Will have to take a look at the Rough Stack that was mentioned just to quell my curiosity.

It's just another mod... a "tube" mod I believe... there are so, so many out there...

Best e-Cig Mod List | e-Cig Mods Database <---- that should keep you busy for the next week or so... click the different "types" along the top of the page to narrow the mods down by type... Tubes, boxes, pass-through, custom, etc, etc...

I prefer the SE band too. The steel RivaSEs are beautiful.
Ive only had 510s. No experience here with other threads.

I've only used 510s as well... there are just so many options at 510... more than any other threading!

My girly will just have to deal with the gold, I didnt spring for the SE : )

I hope she loves it. I'm vaping a pink gold banded Riva right now.

I hope she does too... I vape @6v just over 10 watts... I get humongous clouds that would choke that poor girl... she takes tiny little rips from mine to keep from coughing... I think the Riva will be perfect for her to get off cigs... and still keep her happy for a while as she makes the transition.

I have hundreds of flavors sitting around from my various "experimentation" phases... she's bound to find something she likes.

Chances are she'll end up liking all of my go-to favorites in my BWB drawer... wouldn't that just figure? lol

So, I went with the Pink Riva 510. That means I can use parts for 510's right? I'm just curious as to what all is available out there. I wish there was a passthrough for them. Could I use eGo parts with them?

Yes. Any Ego parts or any 510 parts for that matter.

I have never used a passthrough. I have 5 batteries in constant rotation.

510 just describes the threading... anything with 510 threading will fit your Riva! Carts and attys are the most popular... but they also make 510 tank attys, 510 tank mods, dual-coil carts, etc.

I've tried a lot of stuff, and I landed back at an atty with a drip tip...

a 510 atty can be used two ways... with a cartridge (a cap that goes on your 510 atty filled with juice-soaked foam) or with a drip tip (a mouthpiece with a big hole in it... you drip the juice right onto the atty)

Passthroughs are good if you sit at a computer or drive all day (AC adapter-USB)... but honestly, the 750mah Riva should last you a FULL day of heavy vaping. I vape heavily and a 500mah battery gets me through.

Egos use 510 threads, so Ego parts will work on your Riva.

You'll be happy with what you have... promise!

PM me if you have any questions, I'm more than happy to help... g'night guys!

Thanks! I have 2 batteries right now in constant rotation. And I spend a large majority of time at my computer, so the passthrough would save the batteries, although maybe with the Riva batteries, I won't need to worry about it.

Thank you Chornbro. I'm interested in trying a drip tip. All I've used up to now are cartos. I'll most certainly send a PM your way if I have any questions!

Dripping is higher-maintenance than using an atty with a cartridge... you drip a few drops, you get 4-5 nice clouds... then you have to drip again.

A cart will give you 15-25 nice pulls before you have to top it off...

For me, nothing beats dripping... it can be a pain at first, but it really brings out the flavor...

Im a nerd by trade, I sit at a computer all day... I have a passthrough and dont use it.

Dont hesitate to PM if you have questions... night! (for real this time)

You may like a pass through. I just don't want to deal with cords. :)
Riva batteries are so cheap to replace. Most of them last 4 months to a year or more with proper care.
I am currently waiting on my first bottom feeder with a built in pass through, so my mind may be changed about extra cords soon. We shall see.
I would recommend getting at least one more battery as soon as you can. Just in case one does punk out on you, you have an extra. Or get a pass through.

ALSO... just to confuse things a bit more for you... 306s (cute little guy in my avatar) will also fit 510 threads...

Want to get blown away? Cisco LR 306 attys on your Riva... Avidvaper.com has a combo pack... 2 low-res 306 attys and a drip tip for $20... thats all you need to drip... gotta warn you though, that combo will put you around 9 watts... you will almost double the power of vaping your Riva with a standard atty...

Maybe try the Riva as-is and see what you think... if you need more, thats where you can go : D

 I wasnt going to mention the 306s yet. Limiting confusion, but since you jumped in there...... 306s ARE great!

Might as well hit her with all the info at once and let her soak it up...

I'd definitely try the Riva as-is... if you get the 306s at the same time as the Riva attys, the Rivas will just end up sitting...

I forget that you're coming from a KR and have only used carts... you're in for a treat when you vape your first atty : )
