Ok folks,it's ignorant question time.I have a couple of questions to ask if you don't mind.

In my search for vapes,I have seen Joye eGo..Janty eGo and I saw a Riva eGo.Are they all the same vape or what?I can understand maybe Joye and Janty sharing maybe some manufacturing,or maybe they are essentially the same company. But Riva? That sounds more like Ford opposed to Chevy.I have found the retailer I would prefer to buy from already.Seems a great guy,and VERY helpful. (greenhouseone) It will be like ordering from a friend.Really.

I understand the term atomizer and cartridges, but what is a cartomizer? Is that the term used for when the atty and cart are assembed?

I also saw an option for cartridges..cone shaped or cylinder shaped.I thought a cartridge was just that..a cartridge. The pics on the website appear to be a mouthpiece with maybe a cart inside?Any advantage to one over the other or is it simply a matter of preference of appearance?

How many atomizers would you buy during the initial purchase? I'm in the Philippines, and getting parts here would be a little more expensive,so maybe it would be a good idea to get everything I need at the same time.

Thanks.

I believe the Riva is a knock off and not a true Joye Ego. I just got a Joye eGo kit today. Main thing about them is the battery life. The smaller pen style battery just dont last long. They use Joye 510 atomizers. Which can be confusing alot of people talk about the joye eGo like it is different then a 510. I believe the reason most people say the flavor of the vapor out of a Ego is better , Because the atomizer has a better source for power with the 600 mah batteries.

cartomizer = cartridge + atomizer They can come empty or prefilled. Empty ones you use a syringe to pump your favorite juice in.

Atomizers , From what i learned today the quality of juice you put in them makes a difference in how long they last. I was using a Cheap juice and going threw atties like crazy. I took a few apart last night and the atomizer was encased in a shell of hard black build up. So i found out the hard way that saving a few buck on Juice more then made up for it in atomizer replacement. So if it was me i would get at least two extra ones. If anything you can use then to vape different flavors without having to clean out the atty( to get a pure taste of the flavor) to switch flavors.

They are giving one away, you should try to win it.

I tried...but I still need a couple of posts to be able to do that.By that time it will have been won already..LOL...Tried to post this a few minutes ago,but I can't even quote a post with a link in it...yet.

Riva is not an Ego but the parts are interchangeable (510). Cartomizers is an atomizer/cartomizer in 1 unit (versus 2 pieces).

Thanks for clearing that up.I still don't know how Riva could call theirs an eGo,but at least I know whats up now. Thanks for explaining the cartomizer too.Thats what I thought.

Id buy at least 4 atties - they arent the most reliable product and user error can also screw them up easily. I buy new ones every 3-4 months even if mine are fine (because I worry about spares lol)

Exactly! I would worry about something going south on me and not being able to get quick replacement.

I wonder if the 900 battery would be bigger in size compared to the 650?I'm wondering about getting extra batteries...and whether the 650 would suffice,or if it would be worth it to buy the 900..or even the 1000 for that matter.

For what it's worth -- and I'm still new to this myself (2 days and running) but I'm already finding that my eGo runs out of (electrical) juice a few hours before I hit the sack. I ordered a 1000mAh battery yesterday and hope to see it next week sometime. That should last me all day and then some. I gotta get me a few spare attys though, I don't have any at the moment. And a few more packs of cartridges, as I plan to do some experimentation with filler material.

I don't know if the battery will be larger, but even if it is I don't mind. If I can all day without needing a charge, I'll be happy. :)

You are probably right, and the 1000 is only a couple of $ extra anyway.
