Ego questions

I've been happily using 510s for over a year now but I am looking to change things a bit because juice hasn't had much flavor for me in months and I've heard quite a bit of noise about the ego but I'm still confused about several things.

As I understand it the ego is merely a 510 atomizer/cart on an improved battery. Is that correct?

I'm thinking about ordering a couple ego batteries in the hopes that I won't be tethered to a passthru every time I leave my desk but that leads me to another question. I see that low resistance atomizers listed on the healthcabin site are not for use with standard batteries, how about passthrus? I don't want to drag a passthru along everytime I leave the desk but at the same time I don't want to burn thru a pile of batteries when a passthru would be fine at the desk.

I understand that low resistance attys have a shorter lifespan than standard but regular atomizers only last about a week for me anyhow, should I expect to do through a low resistance atomizer every other day or so?

I go through about 150ml of juice per month, 4-5 atomizers, about 1 battery dies and a passthru about every other month. I haven't bothered refilling carts since early days because it's been too much like work getting the filler perfect so I just buy a pack or two of those each month also.

The bottom line is I'm looking to switch to LR atomizers exclusively using an ego battery, can I still use my remaining 510 atomizers with the ego bat and can I use the LR atomizers with my standard 510 passthru?

Any suggestions or observations anyone can offer are appreciated.

Yes.

Don't know, don't have a PT.

No. My LR atty hasn't died the first month using on the Mega eGo batteries, but I don't let it get too dry.

Yes.

And BTW, you'll love the eGo!

OK, I don't get it... You go through 150 mL per month, don't refill carts, but only buy a few packs of prefilled carts each month? If you're dripping, why all the carts?

EDIT: I get it, you mean that you're refilling the carts wit liquid, but not changing the filler, right?

I drip on a regular Joye 510 @ 6 Volts, and I can get an atty to last 2+ weeks (at first I fried one every 3 or 4 days). If you're burning one up a 510 every week @ 3.7 V, something is seriosly wrong.

There are Zero Filler Mod plugs for sale that might work for you.

Consider a big battery mod, so you can ditch the PT.

Yeah I just refill carts until the filler starts to fall apart then I pitch them, they last almost a week on average. I also throw atomizers in a box when they start to "gunk up" to where a quick blow out doesn't clear them up. When I started vaping I followed all the cleaning, maintenance and tips and tricks discussions very closely and then I decided it was all just too fiddly.

It was all taking over my desk, I had different filler materials laying around to test I had a dozen different carts and atomizers in different stages of use and modification. I never wanted another hobby, I just wanted to kick the analogs. :)

It costs me (and my wife) about $150 a month to vape compared to about $450 to smoke. I'm quite happy with that even though I could probably save quite a bit by putting a lot more effort into cart reuse and atomizer recovery.

Thanks for the info on the zfm carts, I just ordered some, if they work as advertised it will make for a greatly improved vaping experience for my wife and myself.
