Hi again everyone :)
just wanted to ask why my ego spinner 900 is burning juice at 4.8w.
i was using a ce4 1.6 clearomiser
i went into another vape shop today and he told me there is no way you can use it at 4.8 as there just isnt a cartomiser, clearomiser etc that would support it to full wattage.
my question is has anyone ever got it to that wattage without burning the ejuice and its worked properly with a proper throat hit and lots of vapour.
thanks :)

Sorry yes i meant voltage lolll
Can anyone recommend anything i can use to get it up to 4.8 a clearomiser, tank etc.
I have upgraded to a eleaf istick 20 w, witha nautilus mini tank.
the spinner is just a back up for when i need it, but wanted to try and get it to work at 4.8, but as im very new to this i was hoping people might be able to recommend something that would work better with it.

The reason i ended up with a spinner and a 1.6 cartomiser is i went into a shop called vape in rushden when i was visiting my brother down there, and as i knew nothing about vaping i took there advice on what set up i would need, needless to say it looks like i was ripped off.
I tried to contact them as the spinner is only lasting a couple of hours and i was told it would last me a day even at full wattage for a heavy smoker, and obviously when i turn it up to 4.8 the juice burns....there advice to me was i wasnt charging it correctly, i know i dont know much about vaping ....but i certainly know how to charge them properly.
now they wont even bother to reply to me at all, is hard to do anything as i live 200 miles away from the shop and only went in bcoz i was visiting family in the area, also the case they sold me has split within a couple of days.....so dissapointed as i spent alot of money on the set up and have now had to rebuy everything again which has been very costly for me.
Is so easy to get ripped off by a shop when you trust there judgement.
Butttttt......went in a one in benwell in newcastle today called funky vapours which is about half an hour away from me and the guy was brilliant, really knew his stuff, and sold everything from-normal ecigs to top quality gear, spent over an hour with me going through everything, so if anyone is from that area please try it, you wont be dissappointed.
At least ive ended up with the istick which is brill, just need to sort the spinner out now lol :)

Why the need to run at 4.8 volts? Just because a battery goes up to 4.8 volts doesn't mean you have to run it at 4.8 volts.

4.8volts using a 1.6ohm coil yields 14.4 watts. While I can run my Nautilus that high (due to airflow and the type of coil it uses) all my Protanks (with v2 airflow control) will give me dry hits if I run that high.

If you can run your Nautilus on you iStick at 4.8 volts without getting dry hits then try it on your Spinner at 4.8volts. If it works for you, just purchase another Nautilus.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
Yep ive tried my nautilus on it, but as i dont know much yet and im still learning alot i just wondered if that would be a good set up, or whether there was something better i should be using for the spinner, and was just a little worried as i wasnt sure i might damage anything using that set up, as ive noticed when reading on the forums on here that people seem to use the nautilus for the stronger battery devices.
The reason i wanted to get it to go up to 4.8 on the spinner is i thoght it may give me a stronger throat hit, flavour and vapour, but even the nautilus doesnt work well on the spinner at full voltage.
Really appreciate all the help everyone :0)

That's not how any of this works.

What you can get out of any device and at what voltage depends on the design. It would be crazy to try and run any of the Kanger BCC's like a ProTank 2 with even a 1.8 ohm coil at 4.8 volts. That, and your throat hit depends on your liquid - how much nicotine is in there and the PG/VG ratio. There are a lot of things that factor in to a decent vape experience. Ramping the voltage up - just because you can - is a great way to get a trashed coil and wick with dry hits - and maybe not much else.

I have heard good things about kanger tanks too, does anyone use these at all ???

Um. Um...

Yes, I use Kanger tanks. No, I do not use Kanger coils (replacement atomizer heads).

The tanks are good. The old coils are mostly rubbish. Some of the new coils are better, but none of them last very long.

If you go out and buy a Protank 2 or 3, expect to be mildly impressed before your life takes on a new direction with endless frustration.

Aspire mini Nautilus takes away those problems and sends Kanger to the great recycle bin of Vaping.

Only handmade coils can save them from being deleted from the great hard drive of the world.

Now... clear as mud? :)

Can i just ask, why do they put a 4.8v on if you cant use it, i noticed when they sell them they dont state u cant use it at this voltage...or that if you could you would need a better cartomizer or tank etc, its hard to know what to buy when ur a beginner like me.
I fell like i just keep getting ripped off when i go in the vape shops for advice, as i explain exactly what im after when i go in and end up coming out with something that doesnt live up to what i wanted :(

Here's a chart showing guidelines for what voltage to use with coils of varying resistance:

You can use it, it depends on the resistance of your atomizer. I find it is not enough (4.8v) for mini Nautilus and too much for a Protank.
