Ego-T 650 mah batteries with different conlor LEDs

Hi,

I have two Ego-T 650 mah batteries ordered from different sources. One has a white light and the other has a blue light. I also have an Ego-T 1000 mah pass-thru battery that has a white light (from the same source as the other white light battery). Is there any significance to the difference in colors? Maybe the blue one is an older version or vice-versa? I like it that way frankly to make it easy to tell the two apart, but am curious why this difference. Anyone know?

Thanks!

Ken

There are dozens of factories making copies of the Joye eGo and eGo-T. Different color LED lights can be ordered, but those are usually pretty large orders. You probably have an eGo style copy made by another factory. Here's a picture of an actual Joye eGo. The eGo-T has "eGo-T" written on the battery and atomizer, but otherwise it looks the same.

Yeah, Vicki at cignot is great....and the shipping is lighting fast! I do highly recommend her. I have seen different kits at various sites that say their Ego-T has a blue light or an orange light. Maybe greenhouseone orders in bulk in that color. I do also have Riva batts from Smoke-Light.com who sells what they call the Ego Advanced. That's the first Ego I bought not realizing that it wasn't a "true" Ego ;) The Riva batts seem fine though, except there is no way to turn off the power button. So, I use those at home primarily.

I also had the batts from GH1. They are not genuine Joye eGo. That doesn't mean they are bad, just not Joye. I had trouble with mine, and had to send them back. Make sure you carry a spare batt in case the ones from GH1 just quit. That's what happened to mine. Maybe I was just unlucky...

Hmm? They are both from reputable sources. The blue one is from greenhouseone.com and the clear from cignot.com . Well at least I know for sure the cignot.com is legit and I think greenhouseone.com is as well. They seem identical otherwise

Oh well, there I go, live and learn ;) The price was so cheap I thought I would give GH1 a shot. Well, let's see how long it lasts ;) Interesting though on the Riva Batts. There is a YouTube video where I guy disassembles a Riva battery and it's the same battery inside as in the Ego. Is there any rule that says that the original manufacturer of the Ego makes the best product? I know in the case of Gibson guitars, they became popular and they eventually let their quality drop dramatically at one point. Not saying that's the case here, but just thinking of a case in point how one can buy based on a name only. I do know that I don't like the original Ego Cartomizers where you have to fill with a hypodermic. The 510 attys seem really good though.

I have a couple gold/silver egos from Madvapes. Not sure who makes them, but they're exactly the same in physical form as the black "SMOK" ego I recently got from MV as well (probably made at the same factory?). Both work great, but the gold/silver ones put out 0.4-0.6v higher than the SMOK one (which is right at 3.7v unloaded - the others run about 4.1v). All have blue LEDs. I haven't had any issues yet, but really haven't had them that long.

You will find opinions on everything, as many pros as cons, but I don't think anyone knows for sure. We all just need to to find something that makes us happy.

Yeah, I'm thinking that must be the case. I thought it might be more cut and dry ;) In any case, it's odd, but the Riva batts (from what I've gathered on this forum somewhere) apparently put out a little more voltage that the "genuine" Ego batts and therefore, I get more vapor from them. But, I have an Ego Booster on order and it will only work with the "genuine" Ego batts. I just hope the blue LED one is genuine enough ;) This is starting to get expensive. I think if I had it to do over, I might have just gone with a ProVari (I think that's the name) with voltage adjustment from 3.3-6.0. It's a learning experience for sure, but it can also cost a lot when there are so many options and inconsistencies in what is a genuine this or that. LOL!

With my Riva batts (3 of them) and soon to be 5 "Ego" batts (have 2 more coming from GH1), I should be OK for awhile. I've pretty much settled on direct dripping and have a few attys, so hopefully most of my cost in the near future will be eliquid.

Of the 2 "Ego-T" 650 mah batts (with the blue LED) I received in the mail yesterday, one already died on its own and the other acts oddly (shuts itself off without my pressing the button 5 times). So, be forewarned, if you are looking for real Ego-T 650 mah batteries, avoid this source. Their eliquid seems fine though. I have 2 real Ego-T batts (with passthru) coming from cignot.com . Should receive them tomorrow. I know these will be the REAL thing ;)

I just got the blue led egos from madvapes in a dual coil mega ego cartomizer kit they sell, and there is a Big difference between them and my older batts...they don't work with the mega carts they were sent in the kit with! My old egos work fine with them, the new ones don't. They work with regular attys and carts but not the megas...no connection being made. So I called and they're sending me a shorty connector to hopefully solve this little issue. Also the 9.99 extra batt I ordered had the same problem--they won't fire the mega carts. Other carts work fine though. Oh, and the gold ego I got from them has the same problem,so I have to say the blue leds will not fire the new megas, which is a shame since I bought them to replace old batts that were losing their charge.

I suppose if we want to get Joye eGo batts, we need to email the supplier and ask if that is what they carry from now on. It seems that a lot of suppliers are using eGo as a generic term, much the way we think of kleenex to name all tissues. I have found that many suppliers who sell authentic eGo batts usually say so in their descriptions. And they are usually more expensive than the generics. I have gotten excellent quality 900mah Joye eGo batts from VaporKings, top notch customer service, too.

I did get the Ego-T batts from cignot.com and they are the real thing and work great with the Ego Booster! Also, now that I have tried the eluquid from GH1 for awhile, I'm not happy with it. It doesn't vape nearly as well as, for example, eliquid from cignot.com or LiquidXpress.com. So, I'm pretty much a no-go with GH1 :(

I wouldn't go that far with GH1. I have had problems with their batts(sent them back, haven't heard back yet), and I have ordered their liquid(not so great). I was able to do a little diy with their juice to make it much better.

However, they do have some name brand cartos and other items for great prices. Just read the descriptions and look for brand name brands in their descriptions. Just remembet the eGo is not a name brand anymore. Always look for Joye or Joyetech eGo, and if you're looking for Riva, look for Eastmall or EM. That's what I will do from now on.

As far as juice, it's always a crapshoot.

Actually, I agree with that. I do have some of their cartos and they work fine. Appear to be the real thing from Boge, so I shouldn't have gone that far ;) I do have some NR Bridgeless atomizers on their way from GH1. We'll see how that goes.

Got the NR Bridgeless atomizers today. All five of them barely vape at all. I did get a good Ego quick charger from them though.
