Ego-T 900mAh battery poor finish

I have 3 of these batteries for about 2 months, and matte black finish (paint) is started to peel off near the button and on the end.
I see no point of returning them for replacement, 'cause it will be the same and they are functional, but it is bugging me.

peel the black coating off then u will get urself a stainless ego-t batt

its just wear n tear condition, some of my attys coating peel off too because i soak them too long in IPA, n i just peel everything off. in fact my titanium atty coating just peel off awhile ago .. lol

I had the same thing happen to my joye 510 attys too. I second the IPA theory.

That's a well known consensus about any type of bat with paint or sticker, if you order colors, be ready to experience such peeling. I order mines STEEL just to avoid that!, attys too!.

But hey that's nothing, performance is what counts!

I am very sorry for the peeled paint. it is not under warranty. but i will report it to joye tech. i suggest you to try stainless ones next time.

I believe that this is the 'wear and tear' of the painted surface. I am using a Janty set for the past 2 weeks, and one of the atty's paint is beginning to peel off at the cartridge-atty connection already.

Not so sure about the cause being IPA. I had been using hot water dip... no boiling involved.

Joye tech is fully aware of the painting problem and has started to work on improving the painting. so I think, we will see less such problems with joye batteries in the future.

The paints coming off my ego-t battery but I wouldn't worry ego batts are not really designed for long term use (1 year maybe?) but as long as it works. You could always gold plate it?

I do suggest you to use stainless ones, which has no paint.

I just got the Ego Black and I love the rubber feel and it looks amazing. Couldn't have dreamed of a better look then the rubberized black, I just hope it stays this way. If I have a issue with the paint, I will post a update here.
