Since I see no better place to put this, just wanted to say hi and thanks. I'm a new member too (first post)... I spent 20 hours last weekend reading these forums and watching youtube reviews of different e-cigarettes, picked up the eGo-T this week from an online shop recommended here. After 30 minutes of using it, I knew I was done with analogs. The 20 hours of reading meant I found the perfect device for me and 26 hours after my last analag now, haven't cared for a 'real' cigarette at all. Just wanted to give a quick thanks for all those that have posted info and experiences on this site... its largely the reason this 17-year pack-a-day smoker is now done with tar et al. :D A very sincere thank you.

Oh - I just signed up! Discovered e-cigs a week ago. Started with "crap." Researched this site all week long - all night long! Ordered eGo-T (in pink) and it looks like I will get it tomorrow! I can't wait!!! I know I am going to need more juice..asap.

Fairly certain I will be addicted to vaping, heavy vaping and buying juice.

BTW - didn't pick up vaping to quit smoking. I was hoping for more options to smoke indoors....and keep my car cooler when running errands. Way too hot to smoke outdoors and way too hot to keep car windows rolled down.

Last sunday the "crap" smokes worked fairly well. Then...no so much. Didn't smoke an analog all day Sunday. That's when I thought....hmmm - what's up with that? Had to smoke all week looking into next e-cig and I am really wondering if I will quit the analogs and opt to vape. I bet I do!!! What a great bonus. :vapor:

Ok davelog - I'm going to trust you on that one. I "like" cheaper!! I shouldn't "like" addicting but something tells me I will. I can't imagine where to start with the DIY. I haven't looked at those forums ....yet!

My husband is an x-smoker. I wonder if he will pick up vaping? A friend of mine just ordered "crap" too. I tried to warn her.... - LOL!

Analogs really don't taste that great. I smoke a pack a day for the nicotine. I don't think they taste good at all. It's about the nicotine and TH.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow - oh mailman...oh mailman...where for art thou mailman?

Hey, I'm new busting my cherry here. Using an ego-t to try and quit smoking.

Hey, so its sounds like we are in the same boat and are on the same path. Just wondered which juice you found was best with yours, and what upgrades had you concidered for it? Also, what if any other pv like maybe a 5 volt pv might you be looking to add to your stable?

vape away!!

I smoked my last analog a day before I got my 808 in the mail. Best day of my life. I'm a vaper for life now. Utterly obsessed with juices. DHOOOOOO IT. If you're anything like me, and you're lucky enough to pick up the right juices, you'll never want to pick up another analog again!

Welcome to all the new peeps! Hope you all keep us posted on your progress!

Seconded here!! I smoked for 45 years. Watched a bunch of my friends quit cold-turkey, but I knew I just could not let go...until I started vaping. It works!! Good luck, keep at it, and welcome to the forum.

Well, since you offered... how often should I be cleaning my atomizer? I was assuming once a week, but I understand that better atomizer care = more cost-efficient vaping, and am a bit paranoid about their longevity. Not wanting to sound lazy but what happens if you don't clean it regularly enough? It stays hot longer due to residue and burns itself out?

(Quick update: 86 hours since started using the ego-T, and not a single analog. That's my longest stint in over 10 years. Yep, done for sure with 'em. Die-hard smoker girlfriend is impressed... think she'll follow me in about a month when she sees I don't go back to the dark side. :D)

I see mention of home brewing own e-liquid... I think I'm a little too lazy for that. I'm far more likely to just search high and low for the best liquids and be greatful for their successful invention. :) I picked up 7 different types of liquid and one is clearly substandard... burns twice as quick as the others, so I'm now aware that e-liquid quality varies greatly.

@ okie - what are the "right" juices for you?

The Ego is a great product for me, and the Ego T looks more convenient - but the reviews worry me because it doesn't seem to wet the atty enough or after continuous vaping, I also heard that it lacks flavor and I already have that problem with regular Egos and mods, so I wouldn't want it to get any worse. Have you Ego T users experienced any of these issues?

I noticed that some pre-bought juices were too thick to wick well, I always fixed that by putting a drop or two of water into a tank when filling it and shaking it up real well before slamming it into the atty. I do notice a significant difference in flavor between the eGo-T and, say, direct dripping... but I don't notice any difference flavorwise between using the tank and using a cartomizer.

Thick, dark liquids don't seem to be as wick friendly as the lighter thinner ones...the tank system is a cool concept, but the wicks are a weak link IMO....I use my egos for dripping, or with cartos, now....the tanks were just frustrating...but if you have them working ok, then cool...just remember there are other options out there for the ego batteries...

I think it's a slightly lighter cooler vape with an ego-T. I didn't mind it because I vape menthol.

If you have a problem with regular egos and mods I'm not sure it'd be the thing for you. But you can pick up an tank atty and tanks pretty cheap. I saw a site that had them for $7.00 the other day. Good Prophets has them on sale a lot. It's worth a shot.
