Hey there guys, I just recently got an eGo T from cignot.com, love cignot by the way, got it to me in 2 days which is amazing, but I have been having a problem lately with a burning plastic taste I get every once in a while, however when I remove the tank and put it back in the taste goes away so I'm fairly confident that it has to do with the needle melting the tank a little bit.

Has anyone else seemed to experience this and if so does anyone happen to have a fix for it?

Thanks!

Don't make additional holes in the tank because it will just cause leaks. One thing you might try is removing the little "hanging chad" of plastic inside the tank after it is pierced. This seems to help in wicking, and an occasional dry wick is what you might be experiencing, especially if it happens when the tank is close to empty. Go ahead and fill the tank up when there's only about 20% of the juice left. I hope this helps.

I have an eGo-T and have experienced this on a few attys. I read in one thread on here to try and drip a few drops of juice on the atty from the battery end. Like... 2 drops, that's it. Let it sit for 1 minute battery-end up, then install back on the battery and wait a minute or two. Now vape. I was having that burnt taste for about 5 hours... did this and the burnt taste went away for the rest of the life of the atty, which was a week or two thereafter.

This doesn't always work. I have an old atty I've chain-vaped the heck out of, and there's no saving that sucker without a proper clean. I reckon it depends on your juice (PG/VG ratio, of course) as to how frequently you'll experience that burn taste, and the age of the atty of course. So many factors. Sometimes I just vape less because tasting the burn taste makes me realize I've barely had it away from my lips for 5 minutes for the whole day. Oopsie. Too good. :D

I believe that the problem is that it's not wicking fast enough. Thus, leading to the burnt plastic taste. Take a couple of primer hits to draw the liquid through and then hit it like you normally do.
