I've been hearing a lot of people advising not to use dark juice with an Ego-T ...... so I figured I try it ...lol. For the past 3 months I've been using the darkest juice possible ....seriously, it's almost black and very thick. I give the atty's a good cleaning every 2 - 3 days with very hot water and run a little iso pro through it as well. Basically I've had zero issues with using dark juice with my Ego-T and I get just as good of a TH and plenty vapor since I first got it. All I do is clean it a little more often than usual.

I'm curious to know there are many of you that use dark juice in an Ego-T or if any of you have Ego-T dark juice horror stories?? From what I understand most people using an Ego-T stay away from darker juices ..... not me, LOVE IT!!

I never had any trouble with darker colors. In fact, I really never had much difficulty at all with my ego-t. I used that system a lot for about 4 months or so and I never found a reason to buy in to what people said about dark juice problems - or, for that matter, a lot of other problems people talked about. A pair of attys lasted me around 6 weeks. I never chose to rebuild or re-wick any of them. All I did for cleaning was about like you: A blow out whenever I changed flavors - some hot water and a blow out every few days - and the occasional PGA rinse. They did their job and when they quit doing their job, I threw them out.

I used to vape dark juices but a few weeks ago I switched to just one flavor, and it is nearly transparent. I use eGo T type B LR attys and have one that's been running perfect for over 2 weeks with no cleaning at all. When I was using multiple flavors, the draw would get tight after a few days. I had to soak them in vodka and dry burn them every couple of days to keep them working well. Now with the lighter juice, I just fill and vape. I'm curious how long it'll go like this.

I'm not scared to use dark coloured juices in anything I use. I've used from florescent green to near black in all my gear, including ego-T's. I don't really get why it's something to stay away from. I was a little hesitant to put florescent green in my lungs but I haven't died yet :D At least it's festive haha

I figure it's just the flavourings used. I can put watermelon into some vg and it's going to stay clear, but if I add virginia to vg it'll go a dark brown within a week. The liquid is still just as thick as it was before and pretty much everything is the same except I've added 5 drops of one flavour instead of another. What's 5 drops in 10ml? I don't think it's going to affect the atomiser much.

To me, dark colours don't always indicate that there's a lot of flavour or stuff to bung up my gear with.

I stopped using the ego-T's but I still have the original atomisers that came with my kit. I used to just dry burn them about once a week and they're pretty much like new still after a few month's of use. Like new is kinda sub par to anything else I've used so far for ego-T's but you know what I mean. I was a vg vaper so they weren't going to do the job I wanted them to.

any troubles with crappy hits? a bit dry and no popping sound from atty? my ego doesnt seem to be hitting that well. i have spare 510-t attys that i am dripping with and tonnes of flavour and vape but wish the ego tanks hit better.

Some of them are a hit and miss. Actually, I personally prefer the APL-A580 over the Ego-T. You might want to give it a try ;)
