After getting frustrated with my original starter kit from CCV i went ahead ang got the ego-t style cone and tank setup. Been vaping this way for bout a month now. Im currently vaping some copper creek banana 60/40 and im not getting the flavor ive been reading about. Is the ego-t notorious for poor flavor production opposed to a tank/carto or dripping setup? It seems like my convenience store drip setup had more flavor than my ego-t.
What do you suggest for more flavor?

Almost all of the T (Tank) style suffer from muted flavor. Ego-c/Imist/Ego-T/

Consider an Evod or Vivi nova clearomizer for better flavor

Good luck
Have fun

I'm with SexySod.... not sure what you have - in your earlier post you say you got this kit:

C.C.V EGO 3.5ml 1.7 ohm Single Coil Tank Starter Kit (Resurrector)

But the picture show eGo like batteries but with a tank set up and extra 1.7 ohm cartos for replacements.... The actual ego-t kit is as Izan shows. So it's most likely the tank/carto set up that isn't getting you flavor not the batt.

If I have misunderstood - in the actual eGo-t kit with the spike plate atty and eGo tank, the lr attys were bad for too much heat and loss of taste or burnt taste, while the sr attys 2.2ohm weren't that bad. Vaped the eGo-t when they came out until the eGo-c came out without much problems using the standard resistance attys.

I ordered the kit you linked kent. I couldnt get the tank n carto setup right so i bought the actual ego tanks (transparent black) and cone spike atomizer. The ego tank n spike combo is what i find to be lacking flavor. Will a clearomizer like i linked from hhv be any better?

Ok.... got the t-atty and tank. Lacking flavor is usually either too much heat - where it washes out or burns out the flavor or not enough heat where certain flavors need more heat that brings out the flavor.... that said, I've had the best luck on flavor with bottom coil clearos - specifically the Tabac BCC/aka T3 with the 1.8Ω coil unit for stronger flavors and the 2.2Ω coil unit for lighter flavors. Get them at good prophets which has the 1.8 coil already in and then buy a 2.2 coil unit replacement coil for lighter flavors. If you're vaping stronger flavors, coffee, tobacco, chocolate, cinnamon, etc. get an extra 1.8Ω replacement coil.

Not saying the one you link wouldn't be good but it's a top coil unit and like the vision stardusts can give you dry hits no matter what size the wicking is - long or short. Not a problem with the bottom coils and wicking which just sits in the ejuice. ;)

Also, I'm getting a fair amount of leaking from my ego-t atomizer and tank combo after refilling the same tanks a handful of times. Will the silicon caps help prevent this? I find the delivery hold in the cap gets discombobulated after a few refills as i cannot get it off with my fingernails, rather i use a paperclip.
Will the silicon caps help? Where can i find them?

Lots of places have them - cignot.com... and they do help but the eGo-c was the real solution for the eGo-t... that said, the Tabac BCC/T3's are better yet.

These are fairly easy to setup? Unscrew, fill, allow wick to soak, vape away?

I currently have copper creek juices on hand, 60/40: banana, house blend, and voodoo. Im assuming a 2.2ohm for banana and 1.8ohm for the other more strong flavors.
Do i need to take into account the color of the juices? Can i determine which coil to use based on color alone?

Kent?

Thanks :shake: This will be just a band aid for a rainy day setup

The more you push and pull the Ego-C tank in and out to refill, you wear out the little hole the atomizer point goes into thus the endcap or the entire plastic tank have to be replaced when it starts leaking. You can get them in lots of places and @1.97 for 10, I would get a chitload of them to warrant the shipping since I live in the middle of nowhere.
There are many youtubes on how to take apart and clean the atomizer out.
I didn't have my egoC for very long cause I got tired of spending all my time refilling the itty bitty tank. I could vape the tank dry in barely a couple hours cause they say its a 1.2 mil tank but on a good day with the airspace you have to leave, lucky to get .75 mil into it.
Its a great starter kit thats easy to use for the noobie but once you get into vaping it'll get backburnered quickly.

Easy fill - check out the three seals when refilling - esp. keep the one above the threads - you fill these upside down from the bottom...

Sounds right on the flavors and coils. Color makes no difference ... the only thing is dark colors don't do well on any coil/atty because there is usually particulates that end up on the coil and wicking. Move toward lighter colors if you can. If not, you'll just be cleaning or replacing coils more often but certain flavors are worth that ;)

anything is better than the ego tanks....started with them, 2 weeks later i threw them in the trash...clearos and cartos is where a beginner should start. easier, cheaper, and better, then again i havent used anything made in china for almost a year and a half so my opinion is probably outdated

got my tabacc clearo in and vaping awesome, good flavor. I have noticed a bit of gurgling if i keep it in my pocket and sit down for a while. Possibly a little leaking through the bottom of the atomizer as well.
Solutions?

I've never had one that leaked where I didn't have the tank fully seated. Tighten the knurled part onto the tank tightly. You don't have to screw it on that battery as tight - although you can.

You should also 'eyeball' the three silicon rings when refilling. The one above the threads can tend to drop down on the threads and if you get it in the threads while tightening, then you'll chew it up and it may leak. The others pretty much stay in place - although the one above the wicking can move some but usually is put back into place when tightening. And I've only had gurgling on the Evod but others have reported it. There can be some pop and crackle with the 1.8ohm coil usually - similar to the sound of dripping on an LR atty - which is good ;) ...but gurgling is different. Here's what Edward from sun vapors says on that....

How to prevent Kanger T3 and eVod gurgling and leaking

I'd figure out a better carry than your pants pocket.... good way to lose an eGo button top. Cargo pants pocket works.

Im using a 2.2ohm for the lighter 60/40 Pear flavored juice i got as a sample. I experienced the pop and crackle initially but now it seems it has flooded as i get a couple drops of juice through the tip. This may be from me sitting down and it laying horizontally in my pocket getting juice into the air flow cylinder? Simply just blow it out? off the battery of course.
