    in a cave, eh?
The eGo-T battery has 510-compatible threads.

You can just pop the Mega Dual Coil Carto directly on your battery. It replaces your atomizer and tank/cartridge. When you fill a cartomizer, you only want to fill until the filler is saturated. You also want to make sure you fill from the sides and not get any juice down the center hole (that's just wasted juice). The filler takes a long time to soak up all of the juice; that's why you might not be able to fill the cartomizer to capacity right away. You can try the taryn spin (swing the cartomizer with a plug on the end in a lanyard) to make centrifugal force push your juice down into the cartomizer. That will speed up the time it takes to fill up the cartomizer.

As far as removing filler in your cartomizer goes, don't. It's not going to go back in ok. You'd only consider doing it if you were hacking a DIY drip setup.

As far as eGo-T leaks go, some people are just lucky. Some people have to fiddle around with the wick, switch to silicone caps, etc. And some people just have no luck with them.

Bah...Am I the only one here who actually likes tanks? :(
I like my tanks, just not with my 3.3 eGo T. I use them on my Riva 4.2. yummy and warm.

But I have to admit that Clear Dual coil cartos just blow the tank away. The tank last me longer. My tank finally started leaking around week 3. I can live with that too. My clear carto lifts from the bottom and I have to constantly snug it up. Just part of the game to me...

I have only one dark liquid I wont give up. This one goes in a standard resistance carto.

    My $.02

Dang. This thread reads like an eGo-T tank attack thread. lolz I respect that most here are the seasoned peeps and gurus of these forums (and I reserve the right to laugh at myself at a later date), but as a fairly intelligent person coming in as a vaping noob, I'm rather overwhelmed just like every other newbie. I'm sure you've read practically every noob being completely overwhelmed with the options, pitfalls, adapters, fixtures, different forms of carts, cartos, atomizers, juicers, bottom feeders, etc. I pick things up pretty quickly but I was just informing a prospective vaper about the vaping world and I had to liken it to the university shock... that first week when you think 'uh-oh, what have I got myself into'. lolz

The eGo-T with that tank system... after a month I've had virtually no leaks and it has been the absolute perfect starter device for me. A little plastic clear container I fill with liquid, can check it in 0.1 seconds as to the level and remainder, and is about as simple to use as could be. Compared to smoking, the carts are throw-away priced, though I've re-used one a dozen times without problems, and atty's last long enough where they could be considered throw-away too, rather than going through the cleaning process. Beginners need that level of simplicity. Maybe it is my paranoia of wasting money and/or getting wrong devices/fixtures, but new vapers are going to be put off if they don't have that simplicity. I thank my lucky stars that I came to vaping when these tanks came out because I'm honestly not sure if I'd have stuck around with direct dripping, or the confusing carto-world. I'm just surprised there's so much negativity towards the tanks. For those not happy with the tanks... did you try the type B tanks? Far better than type A in every respect, and may effect your readiness to recommend them to newer vapers in future.

To try and provide an example... I've had an eGo-T for a week. I *think* its a 510 battery, but I'm not sure. so talk of 510, 810, etc... leads people to either shrug, or have to go read up and check. Can I just stick an eGo Meda Dual Coil Cartomizer on my battery, or do I need an adapter? Cleaning method? Benefits/Danger of removing filler? While these questions may seem simple for veterans the answers aren't obvious/clear to beginners, so I've hesitated to buy. I see the Cartomizer has some filler, and then quite some space above before the mouthpiece. What's to stop me drinking juice with that tip? Do you fill liquid well above the filler, or just when you notice the filler saturated? I've read some saying their carto's leaked after 3.5ml despite a stated 5ml capacity. While these aren't exactly taxing issues... they're questions in the minds of noobs which aren't even considerations with the eGo tank system. Just trying to clarify, simplicity for us beginners is king... and the tank system is so darn easy, its perfect for beginners, imo.

Pulling it back to the actual subject of the thread... I had some gunked up attys. It was more to do with how I was using the device, I think. Its a learning process and thankfully with the eGo-T, quite a cheap one. :)

(This is not an attack on the gurus, some of which are authors of dozens of posts I've read and have really helped me... just want to remind them what its like to start out.)

Now... time to read up on that Mega Dual Coil Carto. :D

Someday when you have a few minutes, go through the posts in the new members section regarding issues with tanks. Or do a board search. We aren't making it up. People have problems with them. Maybe not every single person, but enough that I wouldn't recommend them to someone brand new. If you do have your heart set on starting with one, get a backup box of cartos you can use.

I don't see how it's any more difficult to attach a cartomizer to a battery than it is to attach a tank to an atomizer. Except on has issues and one doesn't. I've never had a carto leak. I just drip juice into the filler until it's full.

All you need are a box of cartomizers and you're all set. Cartomizers don't leak. And that's what most people seem to use on mods too.

I agree. You can give your Ego-T a new lease on life by buying easy-to-use cartomizers. An Ego-T is basically an Ego. It has a 510 threading. (Use cartos with 2.5 to 3.5 ohm rating to be safe.)

I've got all kinds of T's, ie, 501-T, 901-T, 801-T, Ego-T. I've given up on them (atomizers + tanks). They're just a royal waste of time. Like others, I was sucked into believing they are easy to fill and let you vape longer than carts. That may be true but over time all kinds of issues begin to crop up.

    ;-)

I have tried just about all different Attys and cartos at this point (CE3's and the infamous $25 HR whatever-the-hells notwithstanding) And I have to say that I will not use anything other than my MAP tank CE2s until CE2s are discontinued. Then, I will probably find some way to make my own.

    Throat Hit: Killer
    Flavor: Crisp and delicious
    Vapor: Ungodly
Life: Two Weeks at heavy use
    Refill: NEVERRR
Cleaning Difficulty: Why bother? They're $1.50 a pop.
    Aesthetics: Badass as they come.
Leaks: Get a battery extender and stop crying.

You should consider giving it a shot.
